I'm torn between Yanks in 5 or 6, but Yanks in 6 seems to be the most common call for the series.

One down for the Phillies, three more to go.

Other than that, any team that plays the Yankees is my favorite team. Stick out tongue

One Down, Lee rules, Sabathia sucks, Phils in 5 repeat champs.

Thumbs up for the 9th inning rally and two stolen bases on one pitch.  Way to fall asleep at the wheel Phillies!

I started cheering when Brad Lidge came in. Shaky closer in a non save situation is always good for the team at bat!

Much like Jimmy Rollins you got the "in 5" correct, but that's it Big Smile

I'm hoping for a series close tonight, but Lee had a killer opening night and unfortunately might draw out the series to 6.  Sabathia on the other hand, has seemingly only done OK, and is not the killer pitcher (to me) that every other Yankee fan is making him out to be.  Much more confident with Andy on the mound.

Mariano though...owns so much face.

That would be so anticlimactic. You can't win the World Series on enemy territory. A win tonight would be a somewhat muted celebration compared to winning it at Yankee Stadium. You only get moments like Wade Boggs being the Brooklyn Cowboy when you win it back in the Bronx.

Possibly, but admittedly (and noted by some article writers), the Yankee stadium wasn't as lively as it usually is, definitely not in comparison to the rowdy Philly crowd, so the crazy celebration might not be as much as it was in years past (if the same crowd attends anyways).  Granted, it'd surely be louder than any win in Philadelphia though.  Still, to defeat their run for 2 series wins on THEIR territory, in a three game sweep, in a stadium they were heavily favored in, would be awesome enough.

The silence of that crowd as the Yankees began to pour on the runs with two outs in the top of the 9th yesterday was overly amusing, and I'd love to see the camera pan the crowd once they've been shut down for good.  Throw in all those ridiculous towels Philly fans, you're done!  Big Smile

I'll tell you what would be anticlimactic: the Mariners not winning.

Nevermind. That would be par for the course. I think if they ever did win, the universe would implode upon itself.

Indeed. I was very happy to hear chants of "Yankees Suck!" and "You took steroids" replaced with silence and the occasionally "Let's Go Yankees."

Seriously, the Philly fans need to get some class. They even make the Yankee fans at the stadium look high class.

Rivera is so awesome...I think he's the MVP so far of the World Series.

Also if the Phillies win or lose they'll burn philly down which will be cool
