What happens if you send something and the person says they didn't get it?

SirPoonga:
if I can prove it was delivered Goozex would be on my side.  Delivery confirmation is not the answer to my question, it's a tool to prove something was sent.  I wanted to know what happens in this situation.  The FAQs don't seem tocover the situation.

I had to re-read but I think I understand what you're getting at....

Normally if a trader states they did not receive a game, they do so through negative feedback on the trade.

Lets say you send a game, use DC and take a couple of digital pictures (pics aren't necessary but are recommended in the FAQ: LINK) to verify the contents of the game you sent.  2 weeks pass and the other trader claims to have not received the game so they report negative feedback.

Once they submit negative feedback on the trade, the system opens a 72 hour dispute window (which can be further extended if needed) - this is also e-mailed to you and shows up on the site under your Offers tab by the game you had sent.  During this time you can provide any information to Goozex to support your claim of, "Yes I sent this game to trader X".

You send to Goozex the DC# (which shows the item being delivered to Trader X's city) and a couple of digital pics showing the product you sent.  Goozex would consider any information provided from buyer and seller and render a decision on the trade.  More than likely with this much information on your side, you would win any dispute another trader may attempt as you have near-irrefutable proof to back up your claim.

Does that answer your question?

SirPoonga:

Thanks, I just wanted to verify that.  Basically, one shouldn't be afraid to deal with new people because there is enough precautions in place.

Exactly. Some of the best games I have received have come from new users.

"Maybe I should look into how something works before I start talking about it?"

I stated how DC works?  My point was, and nice edit on the second post, was that DC although recommended and should be used doesn't prove anything other than you put SOMETHING in the mail, purchased DC, and then SOMETHING was delivered.   The user was asking something else and he stated in another post that DC was not the answer!  So instead of trying to pad your post counts with answers that really don't address the question, just give a good quility answer!

Not sure what you are getting at since I did not edit anything in this topic.  I only ever edit my posts to fix obvious spelling mistakes.

If you hit reply on the post you want to quote there is an option to highlight and quote the person you want to quote.

Your pont was stating that using DC does not cover you while using Goozex.  This is completely wrong.  If you use DC you are completely protected on this site.  If anything goes wrong during the trade and you used DC then Goozex will still give you your points.  This has been stated in the FAQ and multiple times on the forums.

Use DC is the answer to the question since if you use DC you will never ever have the problem the user was asking about.  Since it was a what if question that means it is a hypothetical question.  The best way to solve this hypothetical question is to use DC on every single trade you do.

If I wanted to pad my post count I would continually post in crappy threads like "what song are you listening to" instead of a help thread.

Thanks for the tip:-)  I never stated that!

The user has already stated that that was not the answer he was looking for.  To simply state that they should/should of used DC, was not an answer.

As a new user he was asking what he should do if someone said an item was not received.  So lets agree to disagree and agree that simple stating DC was not an acceptable answer.  Additionally as a new user, perhaps he has no idea what delivery confirmation is?

Sorry feeling a little frisky tonight.  That's a terrible answer.  You can send ANYTHING to ANYBODY and use DC so how does that answer the question?  Truly if you have a DC number does that prove anything other than you actually put SOMETHING in the mail and then paid for DC.

I take this quote to mean that using DC doesnt prove anything which would mean using DC doesnt protect you.
