So. Can someone tell me why animated gifs are being banned, instead of a thread saying to watch the content you put into an animated gif?
Because as far as I can tell, you're banning animated gifs, but people are still allowed to post pictures of tentacle monster, asian girls and other half naked possibly offensive to some people pictures.
Larpi may have accidentally put an offensive one up, but I don't see how non naked sailor moon RP girls can be considered offensive to anyone. Same with a majority of Larpi's gifs, they've always been tame imo. A few others might walk the fine line, but that doesn't mean that they should be banned for it. Are you going to ban posting pics next? Ascii pictures?
I know. People might type offensive things that my kids can read, lets ban posting in the forums. After all, I might afk to grab a pepsi and my 7 year old daughter might plop in my chair as she sometimes does and ask me what tentacle monster is. (By the way, tentacle monster is from a book called 40k leagues under the sea dear and it's just a giant squid)
Also. How about we ban Evony advertisements. After all, it's a game that's blatantly advertising off boobs which everyone here seems to be complaining about. If you don't want your kids to see crap like this, I suggest you don't own a TV and have 3 security checkpoints between your computer and your kids. I'll just raise mine as best I can.

I can't speak for most people, but it's probably along the same lines that the MPAA uses for sexual content. You can show half-naked women on screen all you want, but if you show a certain number of "thrusting motions," you're going to get your movie moved up on the ratings scale.

Sorry to tread slightly off topic, but when I chimed in earlier, I could tell he wasn't a parent by going to his profile and seeing that he was 17. Pretty easy.
Granted, he could have been a parent, but that would still render his opinion moot as he would have been an irresponsible one.
Back on topic, my favorite forums are the least cluttered - leaving GIFs out of the equation can only help that.

I was going to post an Ovie animated gif, but I read a thread somewhere that said we can't post those anymore.
I am pretty sure the whole point of the thread was to not post them in your signature as the title is "New Policy: No Animated Gifs in Forum Signature". Followed by the first few lines of the thread stating:
