haha ya she is so god dam cute
I really like the idea of this and can't wait to see it implemented. I would be a lot more willing to shell out a few bucks and a few points to get the instant gratification. Nice to see things are "evolving" here on Goozex.
mietha: What this says to me is that goozex values points at 200=$5, but tries to sell them at 100=$5. I'm aware that's not exactly what is going on, but that's sure what it looks like. IMO, it's a bad move. It assigns a (very low) real value to points that CAN'T be debated, despite what others have already said. I just don't see how that's a good move, being as it effectively devalues every item on the site by half. By this scale, 100 point items aren't worth the cost of shipping...

I think the greatest evolution for the Goozex site would be the insta-match, now that is awesome!
I believe that if you must put a monetary value on points, all this does it say that 100 points are worth $5 on used product and $2.50 on new product.I don't agree with that, but it's how I'd see if it I wanted to value points as cash. There are dozens of ways coming up in the next two months to flip new games for points at a rate far batter than $5/100pt.

People forget, If you take 3 newer games that are worth about 800+ points on Goozex and trade them in at GS you are only going to get one new, at best. On Goozex you get about 2400+ points.

I'd add my +1 for the hybrid. I'd be more likely to use the exchange service.
When you think about it, that's really the model most trade in customers at GS follow. Trade in your games for all or part of your next purchase. If you have full credit, you walk out with no cash out of pocket. Any less and you are dropping some cash on the counter along with the games traded in.
This is just an exchange question in general. Is there DC with exchange purchases?

I ordered mine last Wednesday 10-14-09... still waiting.
At least it gave me time to get the platinum on Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection last night.
I thought the new Goozex Exchange prices are fine they way they were, but I really like this option as well.
I'd like to know more about this Amazon option, though. Are we still ordering the games through Goozex, or is Goozex simply collecting referral credit by linking to Amazon?
Amazon's my primary source for new games for their prices, free shipping, no tax, and the assorted promotions they use. If it's the latter option, I'd make an effort to use Goozex as a portal for my purchases.

And would that be available for Canadian users?
