Sweet $20 now is awesome. Luckily I had an ECA code that never got used before they ECA codes went down so now I got an additional $10% off on top of the gift card....
$20???
Oops...double post. Guess I was excited!
$20 off is essentially a $40 game for me. I'm in for one.
see you xbox peeps when it comes out ;)
I got my new wheels ;)
I wonder if any of the PC hoopla has pushed the rebate higher? $20 is a huge cut for a new, 1st party, sure to be top seller, game.
Maybe they intend to compensate for poorer PC sales by selling even more via this deep cut? Heck, with the $20 off, even knowing it's going to be a terrible MP experience on PC, I'm tempted...
No. I'm going to stick to my guns on this one.

I doubt it.
Amazon is simply price matching with Walmart, in what was an initial $10 rebate.

By doubling it?
I too am skeptical of any online petitions actual merit, but a $20 rebate on such a game is a bit much.

Walmart went to $20 and Amazon followed.

Plus it is $20 off a future game purchase. You still pay the full price for MW2.

Makes a future purchase more appealing though. Still, I don't want $60 docked from me on this title, though it's still a killer deal. I can't believe so many are cutting it so deeply.
Anything from Gamestop on this one?

I think its smart. Retailers are well aware this game is going to sell like hotcakes, and they are going to try and do anything to get you buy it from them.
Like Kevlar51 said, competition is great!
Does anyone remember Amazon's crazy sale last year during the week of black friday when they offered Left 4 Dead, Fable 2 and Prince of Persia for $39.99 each just weeks after release and amid great selling performance? I picked up my copy of L4D at the time and couldn't believe it. Seems like the same sort of discount on a hot new release.
If you're willing to wait a few weeks, I'd bet you my eyebrows that it'll be on sale after the initial wave of purchases die down...
I got Tales of Vesperia for 39.99 the week of Black Friday on Amazon... Can't wait this year, though I don't think there will be much I want (read I am going to wait for most through Goozex) this year.
I think their making this offer only on Hardened and regular edition, to discourage as much buyers from buying the Prestige edition due to its limitation in manufacturing. Makes sense, since Robert Bowling said they are gonna be very limited, wouldn't be surprised if they all sold out come launch day.
Will this apply to those that picked up the 250gb console?
