I got my new wheels ;)
UC2 had a similar deal (only $5 off though) which was nice; something I used on GOW: Collection.
$15 might be enough to push me...but given my current stance on the game, I may still wait. Decisions, decisions.

What's nice is that it was a $10 giftcard for MW2, and now they've upped it to $15 (and I don't have to do anything to my existing preorder to benefit). That's what I love about Amazon preorders--once it goes live you might as well add it (especially if its in the gold box), because any temporary sales along the way get added on to your preorder. And if you don't want it when release time rolls around, just delete it.

this makes my copy just about free after all of the amazon credit i had
Sweet. I've already got mine pre-ordered...this is just icing on the cake.

Not really. The beauty of this "gift card" marketing scheme is that folks think their $60 game is $45 after this deal (even though they're still paying $60) and then when the time rolls around that they use it on another $60 game, they tell themselves they're spending $45 (which they actually are). So don't trick yourself into thinking your saving $30.
Not that I don't love these promotions anyway.

$20 now.
Amazon moved from $10 credit to $15 to match Walmart.com. Then Walmart upped it to $20. So Amazon matched again.
I enjoy competition.
