So Halloween 2 remake by Rob Zombie is coming out. What does everyone think about the remakes and the directing. In contrast with the original?
I thought the first one kind of left me hanging at the end but then I heard there was going to be a second. I like how they describe Micheal's life in the beginning more but when Micheal got into the house I feel like it went by pretty quick and left out some of the most suspensful parts like when Micheal was stabbed but got up from behind the couch that was pretty scary and the scene in the closet with the clothes hanger. I guess the suspense makes up for it when she is hiding in the wall.
i had heard his version of halloween 2 is not a remake. It's more or less what would have happened in john carpenters halloween 3 if that was ever really about michael myers

That is interesting......
I really liked his remake of Halloween and thought he showed great potential... House of 1000 Corpses was too generic, Devils Rejects was pretty good... Halloween 2 he sorta dropped the ball with it feels kind of like something Uwe Boll would do theres little to no direction or story and for a horror film theres relatively little violence in my opinion so it can't just go on the gore/shock factor either.
PM me your email for a Lockerz invite... still have 20 to give out for Z list status):
Rob Zombie's so called Halloween Remake is nothing compared to the original Halloween.
The original Halloween had almost no gore and still managed to be scary, while Zombi's version has nothing but Over the Top Violence/Gore, and no real story suspense as one would expect.
One of the worst Movies/Remakes ever
Part 2, was just slightly better then 1 but it`s not saying much.
I would say of all the Halloween, Rob Zombie's are the 2 worst ones (that included Part 3 and 6)
The only good news to this whole mess is that he will not be directing Part 3.
He's a good director at making Halloween make a good comeback
