Turtle Beach X1

Just wanted to see if anyone had a opinion or a experience with these? My headset just went out and wanted to see if i should pick these up.

My dad uses those and while there are quite a bit of cords, they are reliable and very good, sound is excellent, mics last a long time, this one he's been using had been good for a year now, and there cheap as well, can easily be obtained online for around 40

I used mine for like an hour and never touched them again. There's a hissing noise that never goes away, similar to the 360 wireless headset. Sound quality is okay, can't say it's worth the price though. If you're planning on using it on PC, there are much better options for much cheaper. For the 360/TV, if you have a headphone jack on your tv/reciever, just get a nice set of headphones and wear your mic around your neck, and set the 360 to play voice through TV. Now that I've made it sound so appealing, would you like to buy my lightly used pair of X1s for cheap? :D

I have a set and I love them. Heard about them when I got owned in a 2v2 game of COD4. I asked them how they always knew where I was and they told me about Turtle Beach. Ordered my X1's a few weeks later and never looked back.

A storm came through a while back and fried my old X1 headset among other things. I sent the headset back to Turtle Beach and they sent me a new set no questions asked. Anyway, I highly recommend anything Turtle Beach makes and would buy again in a heartbeat.

I ordered both MW2 & a pair of Turtle Beach X1's from Walmart.com for about $75 total (had $30 gift card plus $10 e-gift card for preordering MW2). I will be able to try out my pair of X1's between the 29th and the 3rd when it it arrives at my local Walmart for pick-up.
