It's an ODD game on onehand throwing a taxi cab to take down a helicopter is pretty fantastic on the other hand it looks all jacked up and I feel like my charecter is floating or something when he moves.

I'm not trying to start a console discussion, but I must say that I preferred infamous over Prototype by a large margin. If you have a PS3, go with inFamous. The controls are much tighter and the graphics are better, imo. Sorry to threadjack., carry on...

Yeah, Prototype is one of those games that floored the execs when it was pitched. But, they didn't execute on it like they could have. You have to admit it's a pretty awesome premise for a game.

Prototype was bad. It had some aspects that were cool, but as mentioned, the implementation was not so good. To top it off, the story was garbage. That's one of those games that after all the hype it got, when I finished it, all I wanted was those hours of my life back.

I bought Prototype when it came out. I thoroughly regret it too.
I thought Prototype was decent, just that it was way too gory. Not that I'm a pansy or anything, but whenever you poke a person and they explode in a shower of viscera...Also, the story was absolute garbage, when it shouldn't have even tried to have one.
Back to the OP, ODST isn't worth $60. I got it off Gamefly last Monday, and beat it in about 5-6 hrs. It might be worth it if you have Live/an abundance of friends, or you want the Halo 3 maps. If you're still determined to wait it out, though, get the Special Edition. I'm pretty sure it comes with a controller.
