Hexpane:is 12/12 the limit for backpack or do slots increase somehow? at only level 10 I always fill up on loot way to fast
I thought mafafu mentioned something about rescuing claptraps and doing so would increase your limit. I really don't have a clue though.

Yes, you find ClapTraps and resucue them for 2-4 more inventory slots per claptrap. I've resuced 2 so far, one in the instance where you get the mine key, and the other in the cave where you harvest the 50 crystals. I'm not sure if the # of slots gained changes, I just noticed it gave me a few more.

Interesting...do you know of a FAQ that gives their locations? I am the master of not finding the obvious...even if it is highlighted and flashing green.

If it's not white with black eyes (like baby seals), you are blind to it.
Heh, nope, I don't know of a FAQ, but I'm sure there is one at gamefaqs.com
I think you can hear the claptraps when you get close, as that robot voice kind of stands out to me. Then once you talk to them and get the quest, its a pretty simple "find the repair kit and return it" quest.

Yeah cheez, you should be able to snag them quickly with your surround sound headset

Thanks for the tip, I heard a claptrap yapping at me but I ran right past it

You do realize the one I found I couldn't even get to ... damn easter eggs. I take it there really aren't any in the main area? I'm just about to head to the mines for a few quests, so I hope to snag those ones.
Here's the faq.
I love this game!
Before I make an effort to acquire this, I need to know... is it anything like Fallout 3? Because I just couldn't get into that, no matter how hard I tried.

Personally I am enjoying this game leaps and bounds above Fallout 3. Fallout 3 didn't appeal to me really at all. I played up until the first "town" you came across and decided the game wasn't for me. This game hooked me pretty much immediately.
Those who say its better then Fallout 3 are making me impatient as I am a fan of Fallout 3 and can't wait for my copy to get in from Canada. $50 shipped :D
I got an AWESOME SMG last night called "The Spy". When you zoom in and kneel, there's NO sway. I also got a revolver with infinite ammo! :)

I liked Fallout 3, but I would say Borderlands is way better. My initial reaction when I first started playing was, Oh great a Fallout ripoff. Fortunately, I was wrong. The only real similarity is they are both RPS's. While Fallout 3 has a much stronger storyline, Borderlands' story tends to be pushed to the back ground and easily forgotten, but surprisingly this doesn't detract from the game in any way. The controls are identical to CoD, no annoying VATS, and great co-op.
People compare it to an MMO because there are lots of go here, do that and return quests. It's like FO3 in the sense that it is in a wasteland and there are guns. Like you I couldn't get into FO3, however I cannot wait to get home and fire up the 360 so I can get my Borderlands on.
