The door was unlocked they said when they landed so who knows. It's a 50 mile difference from their house to where it landed.

He was hiding in a box in the attic probably scared like crazy.
I wonder what the repercussions if any would be to the family legally? The boy was never in the balloon. They coudl probably prove that even if a boy was in it, it couldn't have floated up and away like that anyway. Basically they just lost their kid for a few hours while he was hiding. I guess there's probably some law against releasing things into the sky though.

From what I gathered his brother told his parents that he went in that ballon before it took off. Couldn't find hence deducted that he was there. Poor kid let the anchors go and it flew away but he wasn't inside and he hid because he knew he did something bad. A typical reaction for a 6 years old. Emergency units go out on calls a lot less important than this....

It is really sad that americans have so little to do that ANYONE sat around watching this... Then again, Sherri Shepherd is employed, so obviously nothing in the country makes sense...
