I'm confused by Brutal Legend

Just got done watching the video review over at Gametrailers and I'm less than happy about having RTS gameplay thrown into the mix.  Other than that the game looks like it'll be pretty fun.

I thought the RTS portion of it was great and worked well. It was a very interesting way to do battles. Overall I'm really enjoying this game.

Well I bought 3 copies in the TRU deal. Ebay fee's are nuts so I'm screwed. I'm either going to lose money on my 3 copies or trade 1 on goozex and sell the other 2 for a loss. Maybe I'll try to sell them cheap on CAG. Shoulda figured it wasn't worth the 20 bucks profit if everything went right. Stupid broke me

Check gamestaq.com, I am certain they will be taking orders to buy them soon.  They pay cash through Paypal

yea but it's kinda out of the way. I went there hoping Uncharted 2 would be in and all they had was a bunch of old crap and brutal legend. So I bought 3 brutal legends. I need to stop trying to make money on the side. I had to eat my Roxs playoff tixs because they postponed a game and no one wanted them for monday at 4PM.

I fail at selling things. Again another reason goozex is great. Hopefully someone on CAG wants them. maybe I'll make enough for a 6 pack to drown my stupidity.

Depends on which IGNer wrote the review.  :) But it usually means "big name publisher bought a lot of ad space, make sure someone who reviews this game loved the preview build"

And the main ad over on www.ign.com is...surprise...Brutal Legend...

Wow, just wow.  I actually posted that statement without knowing that IGN would be Brutal Legend skinned...

You could've thrown them into the Goozex system and been 3000 points richer.  Although speaking from experience I doubt your wife would've been happy with that.

. Jack Black does his own thing, and if you don't like it, that's fine -- you don't have to. However, I grew up with guys like him and Chris Farley, and I still to this day find his silly kind of humor really amusing. I loved the Pick of Destiny, it was epic! Dave Grohl played the devil in that movie...DAVE FRICKIN GROHL!

I dunno, it's just my opinion that if you're too pretentious to enjoy Jack Black, then you probably don't enjoy much of anything.

Wait a second, if you think Jack Black is unfunny now you're "pretentious?"  Jack Black's entire schtic is pretentious.  His "real" personality is even more so, I've heard interviews with him numerous times and his whole thing is "meta" humor, although he did finally admit that Pick of Destiny (the epitome of a vanity project) flopping did at least humble him a little.

BTW Chris Farley was my fav SNL alum from the 90s, and I can hear him rolling over in his grave now that you mentioned him in the same post as this base hack Jack Black.

Wait wait wait... back it up.  Chris Farley's "screaming & falling over and smashing things with his girth"-schtick was somehow on a higher plane of comedy than whatever it is that Jack Black does?  I'm sorry, but clumsy physical comedy entirely centered around "lol hes fat xDDDD" is so much more broad and hacky than Jack Black's (irritating) persona.  Chevy Chase did the pratfall physical comedy stuff ten times better and more convincingly, you could see Farley throw himself into stuff on purpose, because it got big laughs every time.  Nothing remotely interesting or creative about that.  Farley was a funny guy, but don't deify him just because he died young.  He was certainly no John Belushi, however much he wanted to be that.
