I can understand not liking Jack Black (or any other entertainer) but some fo the hatred is silly. You would think he had a threesome with your girlfriend and your mother while killing your dog.

I like Jack Black. Then again, I like almost anything that's comical. I'll admit, this game didn't look appealing when I first saw the commercial (which I think I've only seen a total of two times), and I've yet to even try the demo, but I felt like I might like the game anyways and might as well request it for a spot in line. Looks like I made a good decision, since I'm in the first 25 or so (though this game is on hold currently since I have a backlog that is losing points week after week).

Well it happens like this.

One day I started hearing about this "funny guy named Jack Black"  I'm like, OK.   Then I start seeing him on awards shows, doing really lame comedy bits, but the entire MTV show is lame so  I rationalize "he's probably funnier on his own"

So I watch this movie called "school of rock" and I think, "hey not a bad movie at all, but this jack black guy was really over acting, probably the script"

Over the next few years I start seeing Black EVERYWHERE in the news, papparazzi photos, every red carpet event... he gets on even more bad awards shows... he does interviews on stern... HE FRIGGIN SHOWS UP IN KING KONG! And is horribly unqualified to play a "serious" role and stands out like a sore thumb in that movie.

Fast forward a few more years of JB constantly being on TV promoting stuff and now he is wearing fake muscle arms and chuck taylors promoting a videogame.   Jack Black is basically the next Paris Hilton, he is famous for being famous at this point and 99% of his public perception is from marketing stuff like games, his bad movies or bad MTV shows.

So I started off a non-hater but YEARS of JB being in my face constantly has turned indifference to hate.  Now he is doing "celebrity gamer profiles" in newspaper articles... ENOUGH!

Lets do a million gamers march on L.A. to demonstrate we're all in the JB Playa H8erz club!

Brutal Legend has recieved less than metal scores from Joytiq and Kotaku. Destructoid gave it a six, but I liked the demo enough to warrant a purchase, even though I didn't get to try the RTS part. Sounds like it'll be the Assasin's Creed this year (love it or hate it.)

There was review on Evil Avatar that give it 4/5, but said the game was pretty short: finished in 7 1/2 hours, including side missions.

Jack Black generally annoys me in everything he's done but this is a game and not a movie/show so I guess I'll give the demo a go when I get home.
