Is this game real? WTF is it? Looks like the worst game ever yet I keep seeing Ad's/Promos.

I hate Jack Black with a passion, so I won't buy this game.  But the demo was fun besides his voice acting.

yea I was just about to post this. I HATE JACK BLACK. He is the least funny person ever. But seriously this game is getting a lot of hype. I bet it gets a 68 on metacritc

Jack Black is the most unfunny "popular" comedian of all time. 

Tropic Thunder is a great example.  Hilarious movie, except for JB.  Everything he does in that movie is so contrived, unfunny and base.  The entire character is a stolen rip off of the stern show Artie Lange, and it wasn't even done right.

R.D. Jr. of course is brilliant in that movie.

And yes "Brutal Legend" is yet another over the top "hahaha Metal RULEZ" schtick that I find pointless and annoying to even look at.  Just like Jack Black's awful Tenacious D movie and that so bad, its just bad, not so bad it's good music they put out.

Jack Black = just trying way too hard, no innate humorous qualities, and an awful actor to boot.

I don't understand people who think Jack Black is funny, then again I've never met any.

The demo was great.  "Oh man, don't tell me I've been killing hot chicks all this time."  LOL

I'm a big fan of Psychonauts & Tim Schafer can do no wrong in my eyes.

It's the latest game made by Tim Schafer, the writer of Monkey Island, and the creator of Grim Fandango and Psychonauts. And in case the name wasn't  enough to sell it, those who played the demo know that the gameplay is fun as hell and the script is funny as hell.

The presence of Ozzy, Lemmy, and Halford is enough to make me overlook the fact that Jack Black is in this game.

I don't get why so many people are hatong on this. Jack Black isn't the funniest guy ever, but he has done some great stuff. Bob Roberts, School of Rock, Even Kung Fu Panda (to an extent)! I think he's a perfect fit for the game's setting and humour. Tim Schafer has also made some amazing games in the past, and the demo was a blast (Wow! That was unintended! I'm Serious)! Really, I don't see any fail in this (unless you count Brutal Thoughts.)

What the hell is with all the hate? I mean, you can have whatever opinion you want of Jack Black, but you shouldn't trash a game just because he's voice acting in it. Not only was the demo fun (plowing demons with a hot rod?) and funny (whens the last time a game asked you if it's okay to cuss?), but it was just all around awesome. I've been awaiting this title for a year now, and while I always had suspicions it wouldn't be too good, it has definitely surpassed my expectations from what I can tell.

...and what's wrong with Jack Black? So far the only negative thing you can say about him is that he pulls inspiration from several different places. It's not like he's Carlos Mencia, STEALING every joke he can. Jack Black does his own thing, and if you don't like it, that's fine -- you don't have to. However, I grew up with guys like him and Chris Farley, and I still to this day find his silly kind of humor really amusing. I loved the Pick of Destiny, it was epic! Dave Grohl played the devil in that movie...DAVE FRICKIN GROHL!

I dunno, it's just my opinion that if you're too pretentious to enjoy Jack Black, then you probably don't enjoy much of anything.

Anyway, nobody cares about Brutal Legend for its voice actors. It might look pretty terrible to some, I've heard some people thinking it will be like Metalocalypse the game. But Psychonuats managed to be great despite being heavily influenced by Invader Zim, one of the worst cartoons ever. They even had the same voice actor for the lead characters.  I don't expect the Brutal Legend to play like nothing that came before it, but I am willing to bet the storytelling and characterization will be excellent as all of Tim Schaefer's games are.

...that's just...insane......that was one of the BEST cartoons ever made! Who wouldn't find the crazy humor of Johnen Vasquez freakin' hilarious?! Is it even possible not to like this show?!

I....literally can't believe what I've just read...I've never spoken to anyone who didn't LOVE Invader Zim....thats....that's crazy....that's blasphemy......it's madness...it's damn near sparta!!

We sure do have some mixed opinions on this forum....ones I never expected to see, but being the sociology/human geography nut I am, it just makes me wonder more about where you're coming from -- age, influences, ect. Please don't take that as an insult, I'm just curious now, lol.

I really don't feel like explaining myself. It's just inane, random, childish BS. Like Family Guy for kids and hot-topic mall goths. I didn't particularly care for the movie 300 either.
