I would like to formally say that reporting crimes to the police is not "snitching".  Sadly gangs have stolen a grade school term and used it for witness intimidation.   It's really strong here in the CA bay area, no one in Oakland ever testifies, and if they do, they get shot.

In fact a newspaper reporter was killed by the YBMB gang in Oakland a few years back
