There was an issue about this a while back - basically if quoting someone else, don't bold or make any edits to the other users comments.

Most people generally have no issue with it, but the mods asked to site as a whole to refrain from making any changes when quoting to prevent the other user's comments from being taken out of context or have intent other than originally implied.

Those who abuse the system may face disciplinary actions and/or attacks from wild kitties....

Thanks for the heads up. I've fixed it and will refrain from doing that from now on.

And I know I don't have to read and post about this topic but it's stressing me out. So after this I'm done.

Everyone's made their points already. If you have a beef about it, complain to Activision. If they don't do anything, well I guess we'll have to take it as it is and life will go on. The people who are perfectly happy with their free promo will remain happy, and life will be good.

Now back to watching Fushigi Yugi...

I enjoy rhythm games in general for the music and because it's fun. Sure Rockband may be easier, I can understand that, however, I still enjoy the game.

Actually. the statement about me liking rockband better is a copy and paste. I posted that to someone who was flaming me on another form. Instead of retyping my opinion on every forum, I just copy and paste that. I didn't realize the insults were left in the copy/paste. Sorry, but don't go blaming me, I posted that to someone who WAS flaming...

1) I thought you liked GH better than RB...typo i guess but whatever.

2) So you replied with a copy/paste from a different argument on a similar topic - gotcha.  You didn't realize that your insults were still included (and not relevant to to what you were replying to) but after realizing it you're whole attitude is "don't blame me for not proof-reading."  Beyond that you're attacking someone's OPINION on a game....

It is not free, you had to pay $60 to get it so you should be angry that they screwed you and gave you a subpar product.

It was free with purchase. They paid $60 for Guitar Hero 5 and received Guitar Hero Van Halen as a bonus for free. The evidence of this is that GH:VH has its own price point and launch date.

So yes, it was freaking free.

And yes, Activision did what countless other companies do with promotions, seemingly under-delivered. But they under-delivered based upon assumptions. We all know assuming makes an ass out of everyone, so lets just move along and find something new and refreshing to bitch about.
