Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering why a point cap of 1200 is necessary.  I would think things that cost a lot to ship, like Rock Band or Guitar Hero full band would actually be traded a lot more if the point value was more in line with what these items are worth.  Any reasons why this is the case?

You are correct. Crickets is the reason for a point cap.

I agree.  The cap is the reason why I wont put the Halo 3 Legendary edition on here.

With the value of the item and the cost of shipping, 1200 points is not sufficient.

What do you get for H3:LE at Gamestop as a trade-in?

I bought the Legendary Edition for $60 aka 1200 points. So there isn't much value there. xD

Because we are dealing with "Used" "second hand" items.  So they will always be worth less than retail price.

Thanks.  I'm obviously a n00b who doesn't know how to use the search bar.   My point was, if they increased it once to 1200, why couldn't they increase it a bit more, only on large items, to make it so people would actually trade them.  I understand we're dealing with "used goods" but that doesn't mean I want to ship out a full band game and pay over $20 just in shipping.  However I might be willing to do that for more than 1200 points.  It's just a thought.

apparently the trolls are too busy ripping on the exchange to deal with other things that are equally as unimportant...
