Solatso: acsguitar: Solatso: Also let me say this, because I feel my original post came across as a bit of a rant when I didn't fully intend to do so, the combat in this game is TIGHT and UNFORGIVING! You need to know what your doing when you get into a fight and can't rely on button mashing, which I do enjoy. Like I said before if this game had a more in depth storyline and interesting NPC's it would easily be one of my GOTY condidates, but without that it falls just a tad short for me. Also are there side quests or anything? I personally haven't come across any. The fighting is sweet though because the lock on makes you auto strafe around your target and it feels like an actual sword fight should. Not just rushing and slashing but actually timing your attack and countering. Pretty sweet I think. And the "dodge, reposite" thing is VERY satisfying.

Definitely. I really like the quick jump back although the jumping dodge is nice
Gary Johnson For President 2012!
The Tower of Latria is by far the best place to farm for spices for MP recovery. The vendor there also sells them cheaper than any other location.
darn you all! Now I have to get this game :(
So i unlocked the Shortcut back to the beggingin of the 1st level and opened the boss portal thing. Haven't gone in though cause I wanted to trade some souls for some Spice to have magic to beat the boss. I have about 14 spice refills now which is good.
I guess I should grab the cling ring and the thief ring before going on. Not sure why but I never feel bad "cheating" or looking up hints in RPG games like this on where to find loot.
BTW here is a good quick tutorial on getting the two rings in Bolataria castle or whatevs.

Just get some games from goozex and then sell them and use the money to buy that game :)
I feel bad though I have Dirt 2 to keep chugging through and Muramasa to finish the 2nd half of of and god of war 2 and odin sphere
No lie....I'm trying to play about 22 games right now. That's to say, in the past 2 weeks I have played 22 different titles. I'm spread way too thin and the holiday rush is just gearing up. I need about a month off of work just to catch up lol. Not to mention the 15 hours of tv on DVR. Just caught up Heroes today, Fringe is next.

My god you are a machine
Sam Bishop - (one of the few IGN reviewers I enjoy, although I think he might be freelance) put his DS review up. Spoilers... he LOVES the game. But he generally scores a bit high compared to the mainstream media for niche games. Maybe because he is in my age bracket I can relate to his opinions more than the Greg Miller kiddy pigeon type.
Edit - screw it, I just bought it for $56.99 free ship/no tax.
It's an RPG, it's Atlus, its PS3, its "next gen" I have to support that no matter how cheap the save system is :)

Damn it!!! if Amazon drops the price on one of the deluxe editions i'd pull the trigger

Only 2 deaths again yesterday. One was a missed fall trying to get some hanging loot & the other was carelessly rushing at a mage right into a fireball. I helped someone get through 2-1, teamed up with another guy & tag teamed the fire demon boss on 2-2, and then solo'd 3-1. I was getting pretty worried against Fool's Idol since I forgot to reload on arrows before starting the area. Luckily found a crossbow and bolts in that level which ended up being just enough.
I'm going to try out some PvP tonight since I just got the black stone. Look out!

Nice! I find if I have enough magic to take down archers and those knights with stabby long poles I can do pretty well

I have no audio at work, so I'm hoping I got the right clip, "I see your Schwartz is as big as mine!" is what I was going for.
