Why did this person asked me for tip when the game was suppose to be sent on Tuesday and was actually sent today (which is 4 days later then the expected date to be shipped). First of all, I think that asking for tip is just making buyer not give you tip. I could give the person neutral for not shipping the game 4 days before but I won't do that because maybe the seller just forgot to click on confirmed shipped button on the day the seller shipped the game.
Have any of you guys got a message like, Please leave me a tip, because it pissed me of.
What exactly was his reasoning for asking for a tip?

I have gotten the same request before.
A tip is a sign of appreciation for a transaction exceeding your expectations and, even then, it is not an obligation. Regardless of circumstance, if you do not feel satisfied enough with your transaction to leave a tip, you are not forced to leave one. It's your choice.
Well, I was planning to give the person a positive feedback as long as the game comes to my house, but i was just mad because he/she was asking for tip when he/she didn't ship the game on the expected day.
Asking for a tip is an asshat move - let alone doing so after sending the game late. It's purely up to you regarding which trades you feel are worthy of a tip.
As stated above, neutral feedback would not be appropriate for the other trader sending late. If everything is included in the trade, the worst you could do is leave a +5 if the condition did not meet your expectations.

If anyone ever asks me to give them a tip I will give them a +5 and in the comments section write "Here is a tip for you: dont ask for tips!".
Thats not a kosher move to ask for a tip. But leaving a +5 if it is in good shape is a butthead move to.

If someone wants to be an asshat by asking for a tip I will be an asshat right back and give them a +5.
i wouldn't get upset if someone asked for a tip over the internet, differ strokes for differ folks.

I dont mind tipping people, heck I tip on probably 20% of the games I recieve however when people expect something that they are not entitled to I do not appreciate it. I wouldnt say someone asking for a tip would upset me however it is an asshat move by them and hopefully leaving them a +5 will help them understand that they shouldnt be asking for tips.
Asking for a tip is incredibly rude. I would be sure never to tip any one who makes that request.
The only way I would ever "ask" for a tip is by going above and beyond and hoping the buyer feels it fit to tip me. But I would certainly never expect it.

I just looked at my stats and if you take out the 2 games that I left negatives for that leaves me with 80 games recieved and 20 tips left so I tip 25% of the time. I have really been trying to cut back how often I tip but I cant help it I get games in great condition and super fast, most users are awesome and deserve it. Before I started cutting back my tipping rate was just over 30%.
Give them a tip, tell them never wash darks and lights in the same load of laundry. That is a tip.
