I vaguely remember it was something like:   100 points = 5$

Is that right?

Also, if it is, how do you do games with point values of say, 150?     Would it be 7.50$  ?

well before a huge controversy begins....again, you can roughly (and at your own risk) equate 100 points to 5 dollars. Thats how much goozex charges you for them anyways.

And you cannot buy $7.50 worth of points. The next up is 200 pts @ $10.

points have no value

now it takes $5 to buy 100 points but once you buy those points they have no value, points are not worth money

I wasn't talking about buying points, I was talking about games that are worth 150 points, like Final Fantasy X-2

You can buy 400 points for $20.
But you can also buy a game on sale for $20 and send it out for 950 points.
You can form your own opinion but there isin't a "true" answer. It's like the Undefined answer in math class.

Edit: When looking at a specific point price for a game, I compare what I can send out to get it. Like I just sent Nascar 06 for xbox for 100 ponts, and now I am getting The first season of Scrubs for 100 points. Nascar had no more value to me and Scrubs, well Scrubs is Scrubs Cool

It's all dependent on the resale value of a used game.

If you look at the resale of a game on Gamestop then the points are worth less then say Ebay.

1000 Points game might be tradeable for 30 bucks on Game Stop but 40 Bucks on Ebay.

However, I always think 5 dollars = 100 points. It would be way more complicated then that though to figure out an actual value.

indeed as a rule of thumb i use the 5 dollars=100 points one mentally as well when figuring out if something is a good deal or not.  I also use that in trading to figure out if buying that item to flip would be a cheaper way of obtaining points than to buy them from goozex.  Same goes with deciding if i'm going to trade off that game I just bought or sell it on ebay(i go with whichever would yield the higher value)

PM me your email for a Lockerz invite... still have 20 to give out for Z list status):

supposedly 100 pts = $5 but I've traded about 6 games I bought for $20 a piece for 1000pts each, so that comes out to roughly 100pts = $2.

I use the $5 for 100 in all factorings of game value cause I just consider "if I bought the points to buy this game on goozex, that is what I'm paying".  I'm not gonna bother myself with "if I buy said random game and trade it out for this random amount of points, I can get this game for this points, yadda yadda".  So much easier.

yeah I also look at it as 100 points=$5.  Just makes things easier in judging the value on games.
