Anyone play this and remember it? Since the bored spammer is at it again, I love DS9 to pieces so I'm always looking for a playable game that has some DS9 at least in it.
(I own all PS3 star trek games for example)
From what I remember, it doesn't fair much better than most of the console offerings of Star Trek (point and shoot combat, limited story, etc.). However, the most egregious error this game had was that it was almost unplayable due to bugs - random crashes, spazzed out graphics, missing buttons, etc. It may be better now with a few years (and hopefully) a few patches, but it was hard to get past those glaring errors to ever really play the game.
i enjoyed it. only problem i have now is that i cant install and play it on my current system.
I love Deep Space 9, its my favourite out of all the Treks, and I've never heard of this. Will it work on XP?Oh those are 2009 posts besides the one, haha oops...
When I still had the game, I believe I was able to play it on XP. The game itself was definitely lacking. Graphics were okay, but the mechanics were pretty bad. Definitely did not elicit the intense spectacle of the Dominion War from DS9. No real epic battles, just usually a trio of 3 Federation ships vs. a trio of Dominion / Cardassian ships in very linear fighting. Star Trek Legacy was a much more superior (despite its flaws) starship battle game.
A real good DS9 game, though, was "The Fallen." No starship battles (it's a 3rd person adventure game), but it definitely captured the feel of DS9 itself.
