...and everybody simultaneously quit bitching about how overpriced the psp games on psn are.
Granted it's only been up for a number of hours, but this iteration of the exchange is nothing short of laughable.
I have to say these prices are utterly ridiculous. It isn't like they are only twice the value of the items, in some cases they are 3, 4, even 5 times the price you would pay for them. I was hoping they would at least have Halo:ODST, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, etc... but seeing these outrageous prices they would probably be 3000 points. Very disappointed since I can take the 1600 points for a new release game but these prices are way too high.
$5 per 100pts
Wolfenstein is 2400pts. That is... $135 (unless I did my math wrong?) for a $56 game (or $45 used on Amazon) Now, if you have an abundance of points to throw around, or simply don't have the cash to buy games, then this might be an alright system... Otherwise, the Exchange, so far, seems to be a rip-off.
A Bug's Life, 1200pts ($60), can be bought new for $27. Blu-ray.
Cars, 800pts ($40) can be bought for $19.
Goozex goal, as I understood it, was to provide games and movies at a rate that beats big companies like Game Stop. I feel, for most part, Goozex does that. The Exchange, however, is not.

Does this mean I can't pay in pesos?

These prices are really insulting. As open and friendly as the Goozex team seems, I find it almost impossible to believe that they would think this would go over smoothly. Is this for real?
These prices are hilarious.

I know they need money to run, and that's what the trade toekns are for.And even if it hurts the price of new games, I still buy points occasionally because I'm here for used ones. If used game prices start going up I'm liquidating my points and leaving.
mrkekeru: mafafu:Care to elaborate?Selling gooz points for cash. Essentially they are getting cash for giving you someone else's game, meaning you basically gave away your money. And instead of reintroducing it into the economy the goozex team spends it on m&ms and porno. Additionally, games on goozex are often undervalued because they'll go with the best deal available rather than the standard, so 100gp doesn't always = $5. So now by giving back real tangible objects for points, they have to finally show some accountability. As the site grows larger there need to be more points in the system to keep trading going. For example if there are 1000 members and there are 10,000 points in the system that means that there is an average of 1000pts/member. Now lets say membership doubles to 2000 members but no new points are introduced into the system. Now you have an average of 500pts/member which means less spending power for buyers. It will be harder and harder to come by points and eventually the system will fail. To combat this Goozex sells points which keeps the average pts/member at a level that will allow Goozex to continue to work as it does now.
But as each member joins they put items up for trade thus introducing new points to the system right? Those points don't come out of nowhere, they come from games. I dunno, I'm not an economist but it never sounded good to me.

Nope new members signing up and introducing new items into the system does not create more points. They actually do the opposite since they put more supply into the system without being able to put demand on the system (since they start out with no points). If nobody ever bought points and no new points were ever introduced into the system supply would eventually outweigh demand greatly and trading would slow down greatly until people started abandoning the site and the site would eventually collapse.
i thought someone said there was going to be DS games.. not a single ds game prices would be insane anyways
only thing im even looked at
Seinfeld - The Complete Series Box Set (33-Disc Set) BUT READY FOR THIS
6000 pts
if 1000 pts =50 bucks They want 300 bucks for this set that can be found sealed easy for 100...
EPIC FAIL big time .... if this is any way goozex is going to start to run its business. It will be GONE just like Switch is gone
Thanks for doing the exchange but the PRICES are way too insane
