I don't get it. What's wrong with a new user? Don't you think they would be the best traders around, due to their wanting to get a good reputation? Whenever I was new, my first few offers were declined, because I was a "noob". So far, I've had nothing but good experiences with these new users.

Some people are scared to trade with "new users". I never had a prob when i was new but i see it a lot here on the forums.

I don't mind new users either, but do worry sometimes, because this is a more complicated trading site I feel some new users just don't understand what is going on and just may not send

I never avoid new users and I actually like to reward new users who send me games. As long as everything is in good condition, I will almost always tip a new user as a thanks. It's a nice way to welcome them to the site and thank them for actually utilizing the site instead of allowing games to just time out. :)

I have had both great and annoying experiences from new users. Mostly it is new users trying to sam the system that tie up points for weeks that are the most problem, but there is also the occasional "When do you send me the money that I paid to ship the game" type questions that can get frustrating, but I will never cancel a trade with a new user for no reason.

I've never had an issue with a new user, and I never had a trade cancelled when I was new to the site.  I can understand why someone would be reluctant to trade with someone new who may or may not fully understand the system, but if someones first couple trades are rejected just because they're new, they may be turned off by the whole experience.  I try to reward new users with tips and a lot of communication throughout the trade so they have a good experience.

Why? Because there is no feedback to go on. You have no idea if they're creditable and honest people.

I'm a new user. I read the information provided and the FAQ before signing up. No one has rejected me yet, and I feel I've executed my trades correctly, so I'm a happy camper.

Your offers cannot be declined, because as the buyer you dont get to choose to accept or reject a trade.  Only as the seller you get this option.

This.

There have been a handful of exceptions, but generally my experience with new users has been great.  We were all new to the site at one point or another...

I have no issues trading with new users, we were all new at some point.  But there have been a couple of scam attempts that ticked me off.  Report them, move on.

I always check a user's feedback history/trade history, new or not. In the case of new users, I've only canceled about 2 or 3 trades total, and that was due to various suspicious things in their records. Like one user that was most likely an alt as they were linked to several other new users with multiple obscure game trades that had received almost instant positive feedback. I canceled the match and e-mailed Goozex to let them know something fishy was up.

But yeah, basically unless the new user seems fishy I'll send them whatever they want. As for getting games from new users, I don't mind waiting for another match if they turn out to be duds. I can just request the game again, or get back in line in the event of a negative.

I've never bothered to look at a person's feedback when trading with them. If they claim they didn't get the game, I have delivery confirmation.

Nothing wrong with new users, unless they're those ones that just accept a trade to move you out of line so they can advance their "main" account.

I've had no problems with new users.  You have to start somewhere.  If everyone avoided new users we'd never get new people into the system.

So are you saying that when I started out a couple months ago, I was screwing people out of their games? That's the kind of attitude that closes the door on potential heavy traders on this site. I don't understand why you would want to not deal with a new user. You are protected either way. Just slap on some tracking to make you secure if you have trust issues.

We all started at 0 (that includes you) and we built our reputation gradually.

I've dealt with a couple new users since...no issues.

Only once did one of my game requests timed out from a new users. Not sure if he understood the way it worked on or not but that's it.

With more publicity of this site plus sites like switchplanet closing down, theres going to be a lot of new people here. Get used to it! Zip it!
