mietha is my favorite character that I played in AD&D (you know, the pen and paper game, with no screens... shocking, I know) back when I used to play quite a lot. Have also used the character name in several MMOs. So it doesn't "mean" anything, per se, but that's where it comes from.

As for my name, I somehow started using Derek for all my RPG's in the SNES era. Don't know how I came up with it. Just what I started to use. I played Runescape for a while. When I first started to play it, Derek was taken. I went with Derekjr.
The teens at the library I used to work at called me Derek as they thought that was my name.
As a side note, it always bugs my wife that I still always use derekjr for my games... so when I play a female character in a game, it is now Derika...

Monsterfracas comes from an flash game called Runman. My avatar here used to be the monsterfracas (He looks similar to Pac Man).
I've already posted what my username means before, so instead of typing it again I'll simply quote myself (though it might have been easier to just type it then have searched it).
Kameleon: My username comes from the animal chameleon, except I changed the "ch" to the sound it pronounces, which is a "k" sound. Though really, I didn't just start using it simply because of that. The thing about it is that long ago in grade school I wasn't very active as a child (still am not) so I didn't go play with the rest of the kids. Instead, I pretty much just walked around the playground and made up stories in my head to pass the time. At the time, I was pretty much into superhero cartoons (Marvel stuff), so I eventually made up a superhero that acted like a chameleon: one that could do every other super power and look like anyone else (sort of like Mystique from X-Men). Pretty much if I don't use Kameleon as my username, I'll use the name from another character from the story that I've done so far (which is really darn long, since I've been working on it bit by bit pretty much my entire life). Eventually, I'm thinking of making the story either a cartoon or a video game (which explains why I'm an art major and in the middle of possibly changing my focus). I guess I could end up simply writing it all down (it's all still in my head, which I usually will go over every once in a while) and either expect people to read it like Harry Potter, or for it to get adapted to something else.

My log in/account name, and email, are placeb0junkie. It's pretty self explanatory, so I won't go into detail, but it still puts a smile on my face after a decade of use.
As for Maskim, it used to be Maskim Xul, but no one ever used the Xul, including myself, so it's just shortened over time to Maskim. I've used it for just about every site I've ever been on, every game I've played, etc. The meaning of the word is, in Sumerian, a Xul (pronounced zool) was a demon, or monster. A Maskim Xul was a particular type. Simply, Maskim means, "deceiver, ambusher, lying in wait".
