Yea thats what I'd say. It's huge. Although the PC version apparently isn't as good as the PS3/X360 version
Gary Johnson For President 2012!
My friend has Sacred 2 for the PS3, she seems to like it.
I'm looking at Fallout 3, Gothic 3, and Drakensang right now. Godfather looks pretty good, too.
Thanks guys.
Once again I have to recommend Fallout 3 and Oblivion. Assassin's Creed was also very good.
Oblivion
Assassin's Creed is a game I have played and would love to own. But it's a game I've been warned probably won't run well on my rig :/
Any game can work on almost any rig. Just turn the settings down...
If you have an older rig, check out some 2D rpgs, there are a ton of classics that are very long, good value for the $$.
I third the Gothic series. Those were great fun, the second and third.
noobGamer: I remember Red Faction from the N64, vaguely at least. I'll check it out, thanks.

Red Faction was on the N64?!

noobGamer: Unfortunately, the only game I've played from that list was Morrowind and I wasn't too thrilled with it. Loved the free-roam and stealing stuff, but not much else. Fallout 3, however, looks epic. I think I might pick that up sometime but I'm not 100% sure my rig can run it. Can You Run It says I can, but... I guess I'll find out sometime.

I loved Fallout 3, but really didn't enjoy Morrowind, for what its worth. I don't know if it was the VATS that I liked a lot more, or the environment, but Fallout 3 overall was just a game that "worked" a lot better for me.
One note - Gothic 3 is more of a resource pig than Crysis, and requires extensive tweaking on anything but a high-end rig.
Risen, which just came out, is excellent and a fine return to what made Gothic 1 & 2 a couple of the all-time top RPG's.
One thing - the Gothic games are tough as nails, and are cheap with skill points: it is easy to make a character that is useless later on. They are hardcore RPG's in the grand tradition of the 'gold box' games ... whereas something like Oblivion wants to give you a candy and make sure you're happy.

cheeznrice: Borderlands
Looking forward to that ... it hits PC next week.
On second thought and after much Googling, it might have been for the PS2. It seems my memory was mistaken.
I've seen a lot of hype for Borderlands lately; checking it out.
Oblivion on the way.
