kevlar51: Cheapskate Used Gamer:I still cannot fathom why so many people dispised Bioshock with such intensity. The lack of ammo was to try to create an atmosphere and nudge the player into coming up with a solution other than "pew pew pew." I give G-Nitro shit because his primary, though unstated, reason for hating Bioshock is "that hating it gets a reaction." Originally, he said the game just wasn't for him and he couldn't get past the fact that you couldn't dual-wield (one hand on gun, one hand for plasmid, never both). I've never heard him give any other specific reason for not liking the game (and I've heard him give that reason on several occasions). At first, he even admitted liking the atmosphere. But gradually he found out saying negative things about a popular, well-received game turns heads. So now "Bioshock sucks" and it's "a terrible game."

I still hate that reason the most in that game. And yes I do love the setting and atmosphere of the game, just don't enjoy the gameplay overall.
I even tried to give the game a 2nd chance and play through again to see if maybe I was wrong. But even after playing it twice, I just couldn't enjoy it.

Throw in a tentacle or two and he would change his tune.

Any of the Halo games and Super Smash Bros. games.
Every Halo game. How many times can they wrap the same crap and call it new? It's to the point where I'd rather see another WW2 game than a Halo branding. Halo 2 and ODST are better suited for an expansion than a full new game. Really, if it hadn't been for the new console, Halo 3 wouldn't have been worth a full new title either.

Probably, lol, I haven't played it in 20 years or more. In that game, everything you walk on eventually seems to crumble, collapse, and fail.

ODST is an expansion so that is a VERY invalid arguement. Also Halo 2 refined a three year old game. It's like if they didn't make counter strike source, not as many people would be playing the original Counter Strike mod because of how outdated it is. Sure you could still play Halo CE, but people want updated graphics, weapons, and a new campaign... Plus, if you look at every (Main) halo game, Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3. You'll notice there is a three year gap, which is the perfect time to update a game in the series, because after that the old game will start becoming EXTREMELY outdated... Technology advances quickly you know...
Halo 3 is worth it, if you really liked Halo 1, and Halo 2, would you still want to be playing an old game, old graphics, less weapons, and not know how the game ends? Of course not. Sure it's "more of the same" but people want more of the same as evident by the millions of people that play halo 3 today. If there is millions of people liking Halo 3 and they don't think it is getting old no matter how much they play it... Don't you think the would appreciate a new game?
As for your opinon on wrapping up the "same crap" and calling it new. It's technically not "new" It's basically the same game with new weapons, vehicles, gametypes, maps, campaign, enigine, and so on. It has so much new content it feels fresh. The only reason it isn't an expansion is because of the cost to make the updated game. The new engine alone can cost 200-300k to build. The average cost of an "Expansion" is 1-3 million. If they just allowed people to download it people would complain it costs too much. No-one would buy it, they'd lose money.
