I can HONESTLY say the i HATE HALO 3 with passion of a thousand burning white suns. they are idiots for what they did from halo 2 to halo 3 everything they changed is horrible. bubble shield=GAY the game is also overtaken by little kids and people with no lives. halo 2 was a masterpiece halo 1 was a masterpiece HALO 3=BALLSACK OF THE GAMING INDUSTRY
Suikoden Tierkreis. I love the Suikoden series, but the protagonist of Tierkreis was so idiotic, annoying, and said the most annoying and dumb things, I couldn't take the game anymore.

I HATED Terminator Salvation. Boring and repititive and did i mention boring!
Drawn to life (first one). I would also place Sonic Unleashed and Quake Wars: Enemy Territories on the list...
Mercenaries 2 (PS3) - Liked the 1st one.. this one sucked
Godfather (360) - Thought I would enjoy it since I liked the Scarface game on PS2 but I hated every second playing it and didn't even bother trying Part II
FF X-2 (PS2) - Can honestly say it's the only FF RPG I hated.. Loved I-X & XII and even liked Mystic Quest
Robocop (XBOX) - Am a huge Robocop fan and was so happy they were making this game till I tried to play it. One of the most broken POS games ever.
Call of Duty: World at War (PS3) - The GD Grenades ruined this game. 16 - 120lb japanese guys all throwing lazer guided nades between your legs with precision accuracy from 1/4 mile away was just lame. Can't wait for Modern Warfare 2 so I can love the series again. The only reason I endured the entire campaign of 5 was because it was cool listening to Keifer.
There's boatloads more but there's a few to chew on
Oblivion - No matter how hard I tried to get into this game I just couldn't. The more I tried to force myself the more I hated everything about it.
Team Fortress 2 - Got the Orange Box a few months ago and after stints with COD4, Halo 3, and Killzone 2 I just couldn't get into TF2.
Street Fighter IV - Reminded me why I absolutely hate 1v1 fighting games.
Mercenaries 2 - The first one was fresh and fun. Second one felt like it was a last gen game in every way.
igorponweed: JurassicUtility: I love how there is so many people listing games that are generally considered to be good without giving even the barest reasons for why they didn't like them. No really. It allows me to come up with wild theories about how mietha and others suffered some form of childhood trauma that they've mentally suppressed, but expresses it's self in the form of irrational hatred whenever they play whatever it is they claim to hate. I see this thread as a place to list the games you didn't like, not to review them. I find the ones that were more hyped and praised are more memorable. Do you remember all of the crappy games you played on Playstation, or N64? If so, think about how many of them were considered good by reviewers.

*shrug*
I guess I was trying to point out that just listing game titles doesn't really facilitate interesting discussion, or even reading. So hey, why have that when I can make believe strangers wearing Link masks ran around kicking puppies in front of horrified children?
mafafu: The Metal Gear Solid series - WTF? I mean, honestly... WTF?The God of War series - Mindless button mashing combined with a bastardization of Greek Mythology.

I agree to lesser and greater extents on these. God of War I was expecting to be really good, but I found merely decent. The story was fairly good (bastardized Greek Mythology and all), but the gameplay in general left something to be desired. I think I enjoyed the puzzles more than anything else in that game.
As for MGS, oh boy. Being familiar with the games, I think I know where you're coming from. All of the games are just chock-full of stupidity, but in a way that's also why I enjoy them. At some point, I was close to concluding that Hideo Kojima was just trying to piss off his audience, and I wasn't very far from the truth. For the most part I think the games are meant to playful. Once you kind of realize that Kojima is essentially playing a game with his audience - seeing just how far he can take things before people stop taking anything that happens in his games seriously - all of the bullshit starts seems to have more of a purpose. I reached that point long ago and well... my sanity's been better for it.
Of course, if you just hate gameplay, and everything about the game, I can also see that. I just wouldn't really agree with you.
kevlar51: Congrats antonioyeah and mrkekeru, you both got all of em. Have fun with your Viewmasters.

link93:Im just going to assume that you are joking. GOOD ONE!
Well actually I don't feel strongly enough one way or another about games anymore, I just find those games a bit overrated. Hell Mario Party ripped my soft virgin palms as a child and I don't hate that one.
Now, to answer the question posed by the OP, I absolutely abhor [your favorite game here] because it is an overrated pile of crap. And if I ever saw you enjoying it in real life, I would throw a spear at your groin.

How could you hate it, it never did anything to you? *runs off crying*
I really hate Halo 2 and Halo 3. One of the biggest flaws in that game is the dual-wielding system. If you wanna toss a grenade, you gotta throw away your second weapon. Want to get in a vehicle? Toss that weapon away first. Did Bungie ever consider ya know... putting the weapon on the side. Speaking of vehicles though... What's up with opponents being able to ride in the same car as me? Why is that even possible?! Not only was it possible in Halo 2 but they ACTUALLY carried both of these flaws into Halo 3 without so much as a glance at fixing them. As much as it's just all good fun, these things just ruined the game for me. Halo: Combat Evolved was great and did many things right, but the plethora of sequels have just been garbage. Oh, forgot to mention... The campaigns sucked hard in Halo 2 and 3.I really wanted to keep that down to just one game, but Halo 2 and Halo 3 are pretty much the same game. Actually... they ARE the same game. One just looks prettier than the other...

(of course, this is a perfect thread for irrational hatred...)
GTA's prior to 4, (have yet to finish 4) the stories just never really kept me interested in the games.
Any EA Sports game with its lousy controls, game wreaking bugs and superhuman AI really put a damper on the games.
I can't think of any games recently that I "hate with a passion', but I do remember absolutely hating those impossibly hard games in the NES days. Ghouls N Ghost comes to mind.
I was going to comment on some of the choices here as well, especially FFX, Oblivion, and Fallout 3, all of which are EASILY in my top 10 of all time, but it's about hate, not whether the game is any good or not. And for my abject hated of Zelda:OOT- I hated the camera, the controls, the rendering, the sound design, pretty much everything you could conceive of. There was not a single thing I remotely liked about that game. Well, actually that's not true. The Link keychain I got for preordering it from Sears wasn't bad. If fact it's still sitting here beside me. And my childhood involved playing through, and quite liking Zelda I and II. OOT was actually the first one I'd played since II. Never got around to Link from the past. It's just everything about that game rubbed me the wrong way. Minnish Cap is pretty much the only recent one I've remotely even considered playing, and that was friggin made by Capcom... Mario 64 is pretty much the only 2d turned 3d classic nintendo game I've ever liked, and I had to buy a friggin system for that after my friend made me play it. Guess I'm just stuck in the past. I still don't consider a RPG a true RPG unless it's turn-based.
I too hated Bioshock. Strange, because it was rated so good. I was sure I was going to like it before I played it because I usually always agree with the reviews. But something about being so low on ammo and never knowing if you're doing good enough made me trade it in early.
