I mean this in the nicest way possible, how is this Goozex's fault? You put in your requests, not goozex. It's like if you went on amazon.com and bought a game, not realizing you put the wrong game in your cart. Was that amazon's fualt. Please, enlighten me, where are you getting this thought process?

Goozex did not give me any options. I would have happily paid to return the game to the trader if they promised to give me back my trade token and points once the trader received the game. I would have been willing to remove the negative feedback I left for the trader if they had allowed me to do that. They never gave me the option. All they said was that if I wanted my points back I should list the game in my offers. I have done so and the game has dropped 350 points in value since that day. So even if I get rid of the game I am out 350 points (as of now) and a trade token. So yes, Goozex screwed me over.

Goozex is made for intelligent people... They don't give you the option to return it to the trader to prevent scamming. They didn't do it to screw you over, but to prevent even more people from being screwed over. You expet goozex to cater to your whim, not een phased by the fact that if they did have the option to mail back to the trade there would be hundreds more people other then you being scammed.

This obviously isn't the website for you, this website is for intelligent people; which you are not.

I never usually participate on forums, much less such hostile, antagonistic threads.

That said, when I feel like I've been worked over by a voluntary organization, I usually don't participate in that organization any more.

Also, to return to the original topic, you can mail things to Canada without a customs form. My understanding is it takes an extra day or something, but I've mailed dozens of packages to Canada without incident

I was more than happy to send him his game back even if I had to pay shipping if that's what it took to get me my points and trade token back. Does that sound like an unreasonable request to you?

It truly astounds me that you think this is reasonable. Think about it.

If you got your points and trade token back, you only loose

Shipping cost (less than $3)

Whereas the seller would loose

The original shipping cost plus he would now be in your situation, which is be in possession of a game which has dropped from 900 points to 650 points and as you have said is dropping at a rate of 50 points a week, so at the very least he would loose approximately $15.

I can understand your frustration that the user never replied to your request to rectify your mistake before the game was sent out. It sucks to loose money (albeit in the form of points). It is quiet likely that the seller does not check his email he signed up with or his messages and he shouldn’t have to.

Once you had received the game, it is obvious to everyone but yourself that there really wasn’t anything that the seller or Goozex could have done about it.

Sorry to fan the flames of this argument but it is very aggravating to read someone badmouthing a system which has saved myself and many other users a ton of money, especially when their argument is totally lacking in merit.

It also astounds me that you chose to continue to argue this point in the face of all this criticism, especially if you consider this has probably been one of the more read forum threads (even I joined in and I have about 100 posts in 2 years), so there will be a number of traders who if they see your name come up for a trade will probably let that one time out. I’m sure G-Nitro will think twice and he accounts for about half the trading on this site.

In the week after this situation occurred the game dropped 50 points. Sure no one likes losing 50 points but you can't even get a 10 year old movie without the case for 50 points on this site.

If I was the one who lost out on 50 points would you care? Think about that and get back to me.

You just admitted the game dropped 50 points, so that is unfair to the seller to pay for your mistake. If you were the seller, I wouldn't expect you to have accepted the cancel either.  You just refuse to get past your own irresponsibility and selfishness to admit fault.  I've lost points on trades because I accepted a buyer's cancellation or a buyer asking me not to accept a trade. But sellers have ZERO obligation to do so. I've gotten games in before I forgot to take off my requests. I sucked it up and sent it back out (lost points). Not the seller's problem, but mine because of my mistake.

If someone wishes a trade canceled I would readily cancel it. In this case the game was a relatively recent Xbox 360 game. So while its dropped in points value fairly steadily its not a game that the guy would have any problem getting rid of especially since as the trade was canceled he would have been put back in his place at the front of the line. And as I said b4, missing out on 50 points sucks but that isn't all that big a deal. I could lose 50 points from my total right now and not care. But 350 points and falling is a heck of a price to pay.

This would be an excellent post if you ignore facts. I would not be giving him back the game when it only cost 650 points. I understand that that ship has sailed a long time ago. I am stuck with it. But when this thing went down at the very worst the game would have been worth 850 points when he got it back. So he would have only lost out on 50 points.

Did you not say you got it at 900 points? You've only lost 250 points as of right now. So not only can you not accept responsibility, you can't properly do simple mathematics. It is getting easier to see why you don't seem to understand why it was your fault.

250 points. 350 points. 1000. It doesn't matter. I shouldn't have lost anything.

You seem to be ignoring the fact that if he agreed to your suggestion he would the have to go to the end of the queue which would mean he would still have to wait until he got to the front of the queue while the game drops in value. Remember, he want to get rid of this game

My original request was a trade cancelation. If he would have done so he wouldn't have lost anything. But if its true that after receiving negative feedback he would have been dropped to the bottom of the list after reversing the transaction then I understand why he was so adamant that goozex allow me to get screwed.  I don't think it would have been fair for him to be dropped from his spot when all I wanted was for both of our trade situations to be returned to the way they were prior to our deal.

If he had seen your request and if he hadn't already sent the game then yes he could have agreed to the cancellation but as soon as you received the game there was nothing to be done and giving him negative feedback wasn't going to change that. If the negative feedback had remained he wouldn't have a game to trade with and you would have benefit from knowingly lying As a matter of interest, which column did you click for the negative feedback?

I'm done arguing with you have you noticed, there is 10 people saying you are wrong, not one is saying you are right. Stop being so ignorant.

You didn't even read what I typed, thus confirming your stupidity.  It has plenty to do with scamming. If Goozex allowed people to cancel a trade at any time people could use that to scam. Someone would request a game, wait for it to be mailed, then cancel... Thus, scamming. Just because you are dumb enough to make a mistake doesn't mean everyone else should be penalized.

BTW, I hope you make the same mistake, I want to mail a 1,000 point game to you and watch it go down to 300 points.

I requested the deal be canceled long b4 it was shipped and because this was all done electronically anyone who works for Goozex could have easily seen that if they had even made a half arsed effort to do their due diligence. So what I was involved in clearly has no relation with scamming and shouldn't be mentioned in the same discussion.

Well I wound up putting wrong game. It didn't fit the situation but it wasn't broken, it wasn't illegal and I did receive it. Since it technically wasn't the game I wanted at that point in time I put it as wrong game. But that is neither here nor there. The entire point of me giving him negative feedback was to force him to respond to me and he did respond almost immediately. Unfortunately, our discussion went nowhere and Goozex didn't even bother looking at it from my point of view.

As for the whole when I canceled thing, I attempted to cancel the deal within 20 minutes to a half hour of the trade being made. If he was on his computer in time to get the trade match notice he should have been able to get the notice of my request b4 he mailed it off. At the very least he should have gotten that request and responded to it b4 he received the negative feedback.
