He said that he wouldn't be opposed to it, and thought it would be funny if they did it as old men.

He also said that he hated commenting on anything Beavis and Butthead, because every time he did, even when he just says 'it'd be fun' which is basically all he said this time, that within hours the rumors are flying around that Beavis and Butthead are coming back next season!!!!!

...

much as the rumors are swirling right now.

I was not interested until I read this.

The Goode Family sucked hard, and King of the Hill really got worse and worse after the first few seasons, so I would expect a B&B revival to be another phoned in half-assed effort. But I like thius idea. The show was very endearing especially considering it was one of the most low-brow comedies ever. This new gimmick might turn out well.

You'll have to forgive my overall lack of B&B knowledge, but why would they be in their 60s (I'm presuming the main characters)?

Becuase the creator thinks that it would be funny to see them in that age.  Plus in the movie we saw their fathers so in the mid 30s t0 40s has been shown in a way already.

The Goode Family was mediocore, not sucky. It's main problem was that when you're watching it, the story itself is hilarious, but the jokes aren't good. So to me, it's funny while it's not, if that makes sense. I also think King of the Hill was still relevant and funny to the end, even though it wasn't quite as funny as the earlier episodes. In other words, it aged better than "The Simpsons"

I may be may have said all that because I'm a true Mike Judge Fanboy, but I think that Beavis and Butthead had their time. Back then it was punk girls and idiot sex-obssesed boys. Now it's emo and valley girls (it's pretty much split in half) and "I-skateboard-but-I'm-not-punk-so-STFU" boys. Man, those guys are annoying. Then teens loved grudge music, now it's emo-alternative-punk-rock. Not that the material doesn't hold up, it just wouldn't be as relevant set in the current times (as I fear it would be). If it isn't then maybe it could be good. But I think the old man gimmick is a horrible idea. I'd rather have a live action film! And that's saying a lot.

To those of you who think this was long-winded, fanboyish and disjointed, I have but one thing to say to you...

ARE YOU THREATENING ME?! I NEED TP!

That might be interesting to see. It was amusing to me to watch how they saw the world as teenagers. I think it would be funny as hell to see how they see things as dirty old men. I would like to know if Beavis is still a big pyro or not.
