If you're going to calibrate the colors on your television with this or any other calibration disc, make sure you are able to change the red, blue, and green levels of the TV on the input that you usually use before getting the disc. Some televisions may have these settings in an available menu option, while others may have them in a secret service menu accessable by a certain button combination.

If you aren't able to adjust RGB values on your TV or on the input you regularly use (HDMI, component, etc), then you're better off just using the THX Optimizer found in certain DVDs.

Don't be like me and find out that after getting the disc, the RGB values can only be adjusted on an input that is hardly ever used. :( (Component only on Sony KDLxxM4000 series if you're curious) At least, I got the contrast and brightness at perfection.

Back when DVD had started, these tools were costing the users near 100$ (same product at the time). Obviously you can get it traded here but if you really want to get a good calibrating, "do it yourself" tool, you can now by this for around 15$. It well worth the investment.
