I usually ignore idiots like this in real life, idiots like that guy are the kind of people that feel fighting is necesserry when it never is. I guess I should lay off a bit, but they have no idea what they are talking about, god damned trolls.

I play all my console games with maxed out sensitivity and it's still too slow for my taste. PC games do allow for far greater sensitivity settings. Get yourself a good 2000 DPI gaming mouse and then come back and tell me consoles have better sensitivity. B.S.

Try it with your aim assist turned off. Oh, you can't turn it off; at least not in multiplayer, as far as I recall. I don't know of any console FPS games that I've played that don't have it to some degree. In CoD4 it's an annoyance and ruins many a shot. You know why it's there? Because console controllers are not as accurate.
I love my console games, don't get me wrong. I know the pros and cons of consoles and PCs as much as anyone. Consoles are more comfortable to play for long periods, yet you give up the accuracy and benefits of a keyboard and mouse.
Consoles put all players on even footing: same hardware, same (generally) controllers, same video settings. This means everyone has a fairly evenly matched game to play and it comes down more to individual skill (and ping). But you give up the awesome graphics and customization possibilities of a PC.
I'm simply stating simple fact: PCs do have higher sensitivity and better controls.
From info about Shadowrun, the only cross-platform multiplayer FPS game I know of (360 vs pc):

Naturally, with aim-assist, you're going to be better than without. That's why no real direct comparison can actually be made. Console games have aim-assist because without it it's just not as playable. PCs don't have aim-assist because it's just not as needed due to the accuracy of the hardware.
I play and enjoy both equally, but I'll always prefer a mouse/keyboard over a gamepad for FPS games. I've played several games across both consoles and PCs, and for the most part it's fine, but I have encountered at least one FPS game on console that was just completely unplayable after you'd gotten used to the PC version. The Orange Box (PS3 version). Amazing game on PC. Terrible tragedy on PS3.

I did read the first two pages of the thread before I originally responded. Don't assume you know my motives; I'm neither a PS3 fanboy nor a PC diehard. Both are great for different reasons. This is about a single game, or rather I was lead to believe so by the main post...
