Hvaing just read the blog entry on the goozex report blog site about psn and live, it had mentioend that a wireless adaptor for the 360 can run $100 on top of whatever you pay for the console itself.

I'm sure you can probably buy it cheaper at discounts elsewhere, but I was just looking at Black Foz Zulu's picture of his 360 in the $6 mystery accesory thread and noticed that his wireless adaptor looks really similar to the D-Link wireless adapter I use for my PS2 to connect my PS2 online, so if I ever got a 360, I was wondering if I could just use that.

Does anybody use non Microsoft 3rd party wireless adapters, and do they work just as well?

There are quite a few wireless bridges that you can use that are much cheaper than $100.

Online gaming always runs better wired. I picked up my wireless for about $60 and owning both the PS3 and 360 I would choose Xbox online experience over PSN for now. There is a lot I wish came with 3.0 but nothing really came along with it.

On a side note, some noob just tried to steal my account over PSN today anyone know if I can report them. Stupid tard thinks I'm going to game share with a brand new account.

Obviously if you can pick wired versus wireless you choose wired.    That's not really possible for me unless I want a lot of unsightly cable coursing through my house, since i keep my wireless router upstairs so that my main PC is wired.

Good to know though that i can probably use my 3rd party adapater on a 360 if I ever get one.

I don't really have any lag or connection problems with my ps3 on wireless though.

The biggest thing I wanted ot come in the psn 3.0 was cross-game chat.   Sometimes you still just wanna chat with your friends even if youre playign a different game or a single player game.

More expensive than the Xbox Wireless but at least you can use it for anything....

me too i use this one just fine. here is a list that includes compatible routers, bridges, and gateways but it is not complete as there is other hardware that works with it, i recommend just doing a model search with xbxo wireless to see what it brings up.

I'm not sure how they did it, but I have a friend who helped me. I have no router at all, my comp is connected to wifi locally outside of my house's walls, but they ran a cable straight from my comp to the 360 and it works fine. I have to have my 360 online and reset my comp to get on live, but it works.

I use the ASUS WL-330gE (http://ca.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=12&l2=41&l3=0&l4=0&model=1710&modelmenu=1), and it's been working fine. Plus it doubles as a router or a hotspot when you want to share an Ethernet connection wirelessly so it's not completely useless when I'm finished with my 360. I had to plug in into my laptop to do some tinkering so that it would play nice with my router though. I think it goes for $60 but I got it for $40 after a rebate last February.
