Can something be done about people who let the trade time run out?

Not sure who you were trying to quote but if it was me I am not sure how it is ridiculous to advise the user to have patience.  You will eventually get the game and I would say that most if not all of the users he is getting matched up with are not scammers trying to jump the queue.  Lots of new users add games and then either dont use the site or forget about the site for a while.  Heck we just had a thread of someone complaining about the timeout window being too short.  What do you want Goozex to do?  Ban users for letting offers time out?  They already have it set up so if you have your offer timeout twice you get removed from the gueue.  They just added a new rule where if you timeout too many times in a row your account is put into vacation mode.

Have some patience and you will get matched up for the game, and be happy you didnt get matched with a user that accepts the trade and then never sends the game out.  That is far worse.

Wouldn't have to be the case but scammers will always be around here, and punishment is where punishment is required.

Some time-outs happen for legitimate reasons. I timed-out on a trade this past weekend that I fully intended to ship. I must have gotten matched up sometime Saturday while I was traveling back from a business trip. I then had to pick up my wife and kids at the airport on Sunday and by the time I had a free chance to check my email, I had both the match and the time-out emails sitting in my inbox. Now I'm currently waiting to be matched up again since there aren't any more active requests. I would love to be able to automatically accept trades since I only offer what I intend to ship. I can feel your pain though as I've had several matches time-out as well.

i also hate this.. i got rid of a brand new game a while ago.. (went very fast too) put my game in the queue,  was like 70th in line.. wait... wait...wait... and wait.. finally a match... wait.... wait... wait.... oh timed out. now im back in line.. in a lesser position!! from match back to not even top 10. so i wait some more move back up the line! wait... wait.... wait... MATCH.. wai... well u get it. TIMEOUT.. move back to past 10th again!!!! now i wait again. currently sitting at 8th. AGAIN!!! it just gets annoying.. so i sympathize with you. so ill be here waiting, my luck tho...... user wont send game! points gone for some time. and then back in line.. lol

hey didnt u time out on time crisis 4 on me? im still in line.  Meh, it happens. 26 hours is an appropriate window but like its been said before, theoretically you coudl time out even if you check your email every day if you're not checking it at the same time of day.

i sent out that game a long time ago.. i dont ever remember letting it time out. all tho we did some camping this summer. so if it happened i am sorry.

yeah it was awhile back. Don't worry about it. I just found it kind of funny.

This is happening to me right now, lol.

I sent CoD4 out awhile back.  Now I'm trying to get it back & I'm on my 4th consecutive match (the first 3 timed out). 

There's about 14 hrs left....I'm not holding my breath.

I haven't read all posts here but just wanted to mention an update that we announced with yesterday's newsletter:  sellers that incur in multiple timeouts are automatically set in Vacation Mode and all their offers are frozen in the meantime. This should (at least partially!) stop inactive sellers from keeping requests hooked up during matches that won't be accepted.

What should be done is time-outs should be tracked and a user should be able to set from thier controls that they will not be matched with a user who has timed out trades more than x times in a month or six months. Between the increasing number of time-outers holding my points hostage (apparantly now they get to do it for 36 hours...yay!) and getting sent the wrong thing deliberately and waiting for someone to do something (the case was escalated over a week ago and auto closed five days ago) I am beginning to get frustrated.

well none the less i got a trade accepted finally.. thank you "USERNAME" lol
