LBP was cute. And that's its main selling point. The poor physics and control issues inherent in the multi-plane 2D environment quickly won out over the cuteness and it got traded away.

LBP is a great game, but for $300 + $60 it's NOT worth it. Personally I'd buy it if I had a PS3, Halo 3 got me hooked on user created content, and Far Cry 2 made me want user created content in every game. I've played it in target and it seems awesome, I hope the 360 getsa game with tons of user created content, Besides Halo 3 of course. Also if it does have user created content I would want custom polygons and skins like LBP.

The content sharing would be nice, but nobody making levels really knows anything about game design, and there are a million 2D platformers out there, you need more than the novelty of physics to do something really interesting. Plus if your level is too offensive or resembles a Super Mario Bros level it gets deleted.
Plus, I don't have the patience to enjoy making games rather than playing them like I used to. Maybe I would have as a younger teen, but as a crotchety old 20something I want instant gratification served on a silver platter.

I don't think i usually just do. If you want a PS3 get it, you don't know what your missing out on, plus you can save money because you don't have to pay for online access like for x box live.
