I love how the few people that side on the GH camp are so trigger happy to throw out insults when someone says GH is just not that good. Usually boils down to "well you suck at the game, nahnahnahbooboo". Trust me, I see this on every other forum I go to, and its retarded.
what they need to do is make all the songs from all the previous games backwards compatible, that would give me the iniatiative to buy guitar hero 5.

I think we should stop argueing, everyone is intitled to there own opinion. I thought I could change someone's opinion, turns out I can't...

By calling people idiots and telling them they "suck at music games"? ROFL

Well, you bashed Guitar Hero for no reason, it wasn't as if I bashed Rock Band and you defended yourself... It was the other way around!
thguy123:Well, you bashed Guitar Hero for no reason
No, I specifically linked to the reason actually. Having Curt Cobain clowning around on stage singing bon jovi or other trash songs.
I never said people who like GH are idiots or suck or anything other than my criticism of the developers and publishers' decisions and content.
I was not thrilled and was set on waiting for a used copy on the next B2G1 Gamestop sale until they offered the free GH:VH and then I bit. At least they are on the right track on letting you import some songs from WT and SH. That made a big difference in the buying decision too.
I wish they would have included Hager years in there as well. I liked the band equally with Roth/Hager.

I was very excited to see the GH would be taking one of the better ideas from RB and implementing it. I truly enjoyed being able to import the majority of music from RB1 to RB2 and had similar hopes for GH:WT to GH5.
It's unfortunate that it will only be 40-ish% of GH:WT content that will be transferable, but for the $3-$4 they will be asking, it's still somewhat reasonable.

I have nothing against GH as a game, but it's the lack of transfer from title to title that keeps me on RB instead. I won't be buying RB: Beatles (until Goozex sends it) for just that reason. I want to be able to play ALL my songswith the same disc.
dustin25ship:stop saying aboot. it's not a real word
ummmm.....no

Same. Rock Band nailed this feature early on and has implemnted it intelligently with future titles. Although i'm not all that interested in the upcoming Lego Rock Band, it was nice to hear that you would be able to import it's tracks into RB2...which came out a year ago. Nice forward thinking there Harmonix.
Both series are enjoyable, but GH games (especially with 4-5 coming out in a year and lack of proper content transfers) have been relegated to "wait until 6+ months after release and Gooz it" status.

I am just shocked Love let them use him in the game. They should have did a GH:Nirvina whith JUST there music it would have sold off the charts.

Rock Band has MTV behind it. I think MTV have a bit more pull for license negotiation than either Activision or Neversoft.
And just for Hexpane...
I only play music games with friends now. Haven't touched GH: WT in months...
From what I played of GH5 on the Wii there are only a MAX of 20 songs I want to play and a few I own in Rock Band. Now if Guitar Hero released an Iron Maiden or The Who game I would jump all over it, but until then I will be sticking with Rock Band for having a much better soundtrack.
