Trading Game and Movies with Friends

I have been a active member for about a year now, I have 40 items sent, and around 28 received.  I love goozex and think it's the best place to trade game, and now movies as well.  I have been an advocate of Goozex since the beginning, and have gottern around 10 or so friends and go workers to join over the year.

My suggestion would be to have an option to trade games to your friends directly.  I would keep the trade token requirement to do so, but if my friend has a copy of Red Faction that I want, I would like to be able to transfer 1000 points to him, pay my trade token to Goozex, and he can then hand deliver the game, saves the seller on shipping.

I think that would be a nice feature to add.

This has been brought up before and I'm still not a fan of it.  You would just have people adding as many people as they can to their friends in an attempt to circumvent the line.

I agree with IWX.  It kind of goes against the whole first come first served nature that is Goozex, and heads more towards direct trading, which we don't want.  Something that may come up in the near future is the ability to gift points, so that may be an option for you if the person is a friend in the flesh, and not just on here.

I concur with dustin, who seems to come to the same conclusion as IWX. 

Not to mention that we few forum goers would REALLY be able to abuse a system like that.

 Yeah I believe this idea has been squashed because it opens up too many loopholes that can be abused.

Last time I "traded" games with someone it was back in the NES days and I never got my games back.

I like the OP's idea I'm just suggesting that this can actually work out if goozex implement some sort of limit per month. For example set a limit of 2 direct trade with a your buddies. As for the donation option of giving out trade tokens or points that would be awesome too. Once again just give it a limit and everyone can be happy?

Any moving the points around outside the queues is a recipe for disaster.   if you can "gift" points, whats to stop me posting somewhere that I'll give 1100 points for a 1000 point game, and get it before anyone in the system does?  Sellers will see people doing that and pull offers here to try and cut better deals off site.   Then you end up just having to negotiate a deal for all your trades directly with the other party...and that hasn't worked at all well elsewhere.

It would benefit a very narrow subset of the population, and open up a deluge of exploit possibilities.

No thanks.  If you want to trade games between friends, just do it.  No need to get Goozex involved.

What a valid point! I trade games with my friends all the time, currently got 1 from a buddy actually.
