On August 27th, I received an e-mail from playswitch.com about their site makeover. In the e-mail it gave me a code for a free game worth 5 points. I signed up sometime last year and never did anything with my account because I chose Goozex.
It looks like they got rid of negotiations and set a price per game and is first-come first-served ( sounds familiar ). They have it set up where you can pay to cut in line and they require Delivery Confirmation. The site says the changes were requested by the users ( or maybe they read the Goozex forums and went from there ).
When I requested my free signup game from Goozex, I had a confirmation within 24 hours of a shipped game. I went ahead and requested six games and am going to see what transpires. I don't expect anything at all, since most comments are from last year and talk about outrageous game prices.
Funny, the same thing happened to me,I got an email saying I get a free game,I tried signing in and it said my account hadnt been activated.I cant beleive I still got the email. So I activated it yesterday,I am matched for my free game, and then I will never hear from the site again,my heart belongs with goozex....and sometimes switchgames.
Pay to cut in line? Um how about no right off the bat just by seeing that lol. You know how annoying that would become and what happens if you pay to cut then someone else pays to cut, your money become worthless?
Their homepage is BUSY. The last thing you want to do to potential new users is to overwhelm them with WALLS OF TEXT and flashy banners. Keep it nice and simple like... well, like Goozex. You don't want to make a seemingly complicated system more complicated with a website like that.
Never heard of the site until now.
So this site is grooming itself to be just like Goozex, but champions bad ideas?
Yeah, sounds great.
