What game got bad reviews that you really liked?

I also enjoyed Postal 2, which got lots of bad reviews.

The expansion sucked, though.

Silent Hill: Homecoming, traded it in but still enjoyed it thoroughly and actually finished it.

I completely agree. I've gone through the game several times now. Definitely a great survival horror title.

Carmageddon 3 TDR took a beating from reviews, but I really found it to be very entertaining and a pretty fun game.

i liked that game a lot too (postal 2).

i remember when it came out, i was going through a period of intense anxiety and for reasons unknown to me, i found the game to be very calming and therapeutic.

Resident Evil: Outbreak. I'm enjoying the different storylines and the graphics are pretty good. Directing the other players is annoying, but at the same time their dialogue is pretty laughable (One character tells a guy "calm down lil sista".) Loading is also too long but I still say the game is not as bad as people say.

I actually really enjoyed wheelman, it got slammed pretty hard with the reviews, but i found it fun to do these insane stunts, and drive around the city, and i usually don't care that much about story or voice acting and stuff like that in a game, so this was pretty fun.

A lot of the games I thought had bad reviews have 70+ (which is still acceptable, not abysmal).  But I did find one that's under 70!

Suikoden Tactics (68) - I love the combat system in this game.  I really really wish there was a way to speed things up, because it'd be one of my favorite SRPGs if so.

I hope this is good because I just got it sent to me this morning and havent tried it yet.

It averages 7.5 on major review sites and 8.2 on user sites. There is a sequel to it call:   RE: The Darkside Chronicles coming this November.

It's a pretty solid game.  I find that the action is less frantic/fun than some other rail shooters, but it's got excellent length and better than average replay value.  If you like the Resident Evil series and storyline, then the game is particularly good because it recaps most of the series and offers plenty of hidden and unlockable bonuses.

Keep your eyes open and you can sometimes find good deals on the title -- I paid less than $10, and for that price it's AWESOME.

By the way, picked up one of the Perfect Shot accessories you mentioned and really like the weight and feel.  It'll take a couple days before I can put it through the paces, but am very excited to try.  My only complaint is reaching for the A button in-game... you have to be ready with your second hand sometimes.

Gungrave (PS2). Gamespot gave it a 5.1 (out of 10). I thought it was fun and stylish. Yes, it was very short... but I'm chalking that up as a plus since I have a hundred games in my "to play" list.

Lord of the Rings Conquest didn't get the best reviews but i enjoyed it very much
