Shadow of the Colossus, fighting games(not to be confused with beat em ups) in general (I outgrew them I think) and God Hand (though I may have to give it another chance on easy).

WUT.
i really wanted to love Halo: ODST but just couldn't. it sucked and i'm glad i didn't buy it. it felt short and rushed, and they took out some of my favorite things (dual wielding etc) just wasnt very good for a bungie game....for me an EPIC fail.

Actually my last 4 of 5 360 games. The Capcom triple pack; Dead rising seemed fun, but the controls and story are horrid. Lost planet looks beautifull, but the constant search for a heat source turned me off, I coudn't just explore the game, cause I would die =/. devil may Cry 4. Awesome untill you play as Dante and have to backtrack through almost every level... seriously ? And Finally Mass Effect. Im seriously still trying to love this game, I really am, but there are some parts that are just way to frustrating. It's been on my shelf for like 3 weeks. I hope this streak does not continue D:

I hated all of these games, too!
Mass Effect was great, though. How far along did you get? I had to play about 5-10 hours before I really got into it.
That's way too long to have to play a game before it gets fun. Mass Effect is one of those games that no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't enjoy. I played it for about 2-3 hours before just giving up and getting rid of it.
Mass Effect's first few hours are kind of dull; the developers have admitted this in post-release interviews. Once it gets going it's fine, but lots of people will get bored with all the "talking head" stuff in the early going.

I found the first visit to the Citadel really slowed things down. The first time I tried to play it that's where I stopped, I believe I was at about 5+ hours and hadn't left the Citadel yet. A year and a half later I restarted, got out of the Citadel as quick as I could and really ended up enjoying the game.

I understand. It started off so slow, and I even caught myself thinking "Jeez, what's the big deal with this game, anyway" UNTIL I got to the Citadel. After that point, I was completely hooked.
Come to think of it, I doubt that would be 5-10 hours for most people... Meh. I'll just chalk it up to my perfectionism. =P
Bobster823: Hm, that is where I left off about a week ago. But for me I just haven't had time to play. Mid-terms and my second job picking up make for less video game time.

I'm in the same boat. Fall is very bittersweet for me, when it comes to gaming; so many good games get released in the Fall, but I have so little time to play them. Boo.

Newest Wolfenstein, just couldn't get into it
inFamous...Im trying to like it, but after playing prototype I can't like this game.
The most recent examples I can think of would be Saw: The Videogame and The Darkness.
