I kept trying to make myself love the new Prince of Persia. The combat is absolutely terrible.
Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3. Too many cut scenes for me.
Interesting question... Super Mario Galaxy, I wanted the same awesomeness out of it as when i was a wee young lad. But it just wasn't the same... :(

Halo Wars - I really wanted to like this game because it was the first game I ever played of the series, but I have to realize that strategy games are just not for me (in games, I'll usually end up doing the same thing over and over, or copying what other people do if it's a multiplayer game). It could have been worse though, I could have been a big fan of the series and been disappointed by this.

This is a great game, if you like dying again and again and again and again and again and again and again...
...and again and again and again and again and again and again...
On a somewhat-related note, I traded this for Turok on GameTZ. I guess I'm a sucker for punishment.

I really wanted to like it too but I couldn't. I think jumping games that require guessing piss me off. Uncharted drove me nuts
Gary Johnson For President 2012!
Silent Hill 2 is mine; such awful controls

They really nailed the sensation of speed and graceful movement, but then constantly ground things to halt by throwing in obtuse puzzles and horrible combat sequences, almost like they didn't have enough faith (bada-bump) in their original concept so they had to make it "exciting" by putting in a bunch of moronic gun battles. It was really frustrating trying to figure out how to get somewhere while being shot at, and then missing the jump because you mis-timed it by half a pixel.
The person who designed the subway level should never be allowed to work on a game again.
Visually ME was very well-done and unique, and the time-trial and race modes kept it from being a total write-off; I finished it, but it's definitely one of the worst high-profile games I've played in a long time. Too bad, because I really wanted it to be great.
Kenny you reminded me... It's amazing how personal taste differs. Oblivion. I really wanted to love it but I got bored with it very quickly, on the other hand I absolutely loved Fallout 3. And I loved Mass Effect from the start. I would say that in the vast majority of games that if it doesn't hook you within the first hour or two of playing it probably won't. I actually won't give most games more than an hour to get interesting before I'll trade em away and get started with a different one.
Dead Rising hands down. This game had so much potential and I wanted to like it so much but the terrible control scheme and barely readable words put this one over the edge for me.
Yeah Mirrors Edge really nailed the "try this jump 10x" annoyance.
Also on Wii downloads
Super Star Wars
Super Empire Strikes back
Great looking games w/ cool sound effects and lots of star wars mythos.. but those stupid JUMPING instant deaths RUIN what could and should have been the greatest SW games of that gen.

Don't forget about Otis calling you on the phone during boss fights!
I hated the small text too, but that problem went away when I hooked up the 360 to my monitor. Still, it shouldn't have been an issue in the first place if Capcom knew/cared that lots of people still play on SDTVs.

Haha I never even got that far my frustration with that game happened from the very beginning.

Yea I'm the same way. Life's to short to play boring games or frustrating games. I also tend to think lots of games are TOO LONG!! Folklore was great until I thought I beat it 12 times and then didn't.
I would've Kept Valkyria chronicles but I kept reading "At least 40 hours of gameplay". Considering how slow the gameplay is I figured 40 hours was WAYYY to much. I loved the art design though.
