Some of the new Blu Ray disks come with codes to download the digital copy on Itunes and WMP.  These codes can only be used once.  I am assuming that if one or both of the codes are used then the movie should be listed as "Disk + Manual".  Is this correct?

I just want to make sure that if I request a movie with the digital copy as a "Full Package" that I can assume the code is not used.

If it's like the gaming trades then one time use codes are not considered as required for Full Pacakge.

I believe the code is not required for Full Package so you might not be getting it. A PM to the user asking if their code is used would be your best bet, but remember they are not obligated to send it and you'd be the one responsible for canceling.

Not only can the codes be used but once, but most expire within one year of the movies release date, regardless of whether or not it has been used.  They should be considered DLC as a result in the same fashion that games are held to.

Therefore, I would presume that even if a listing is FP, you cannot assume that the code is functional...even if it were new and sealed, depending on the title and its age of course.

OK Thanks guys.  I wanted to put up Babylon AD but I used the code so wasn't sure what to list it as.  I will message the person I get linked with before I accept just to make sure he/she knows as a precaution.

This is in the FAQ for game trades.  It's safe to assume it applies to movies as well.

Proof the search engine works. I was going to ask a question. I searched and got an answer. THE SYSTEM WORKS!

This does deserve bumping though as I was unaware if the rule carried over to movies.

After the recent decison on the Gears 2 GotY edition, Goozex may start requiring these codes to be unused as well. This is very shaky ground now with Goozex making various rulings on this subject. Be wary of the possible change in DLC codes.

Even if they've expired due to age?

This does seem like a slippery slope. I had a user the other day who said the download code was more important to him than the blu-ray disk itself
