hey guys, here's the scenario: I mailed off a game to a buyer on Thursday, July 30th at about 12pm, to a local Goozexer in Ontario, Canada. I have not received any feedback as of yet, so I have sent two PMs to the buyer, who has not responded, and I am growing concerned. If he leaves negative feedback saying the game did not arrive, what prevents him from keeping the negative feedback if the game turns up? Is there any way I can have the negative expunged, given his lack of communication, or am I SOL? I may have the receipt for the shipping charge at my local post office, but that doesn't prove a whole lot. He is a new user, and has no activity on the forums, and this is his first trade. Thanks guys!
I wouldn't consider the worst just yet. He may just forget to leave feedback and it'll timeout to positive. If this is his first trade, the likelihood of them not knowing what to do is dramatically higher, so no worries yet.
On the other hand, if he leaves negative, it has been shown in the past that a receipt of shipment can prove that you did your part, so keep that in mind.

I know delivery confirmation is expensive in Canada, but did you use it?
Do you at least have your receipt?
Chances are the user is a very hands off individual. If he doesn't leave feedback the system will close the trade and award you full positive feedback at 14 days. I wouldn't PM the buyer anymore and risk irritating them. You've done about all you can do.

I did not use delivery confirmation, given the low price of the game (cost me $5) and the low point value (100 points); delivery confirmation within Canada is over $9, which might be worth it for a 1000 point game, but not 100 points. I guess it's high time I dig out that receipt!

I figured as much for the DC. I've never used it, but I keep all receipts. My advice is to be a bit more patient, which is difficult when you're first starting.
after 20 or so days ( i know that number is wrong cant remember exact) the system will automatically close out trade and give you positive feedback. Some new users don't understand the feedback system fully and it's nothing you can really change
if your worried about this in the future then i would change your settings not to trade with canada because you can't use delivery confirmation with canada, otherwise it's a gamble that you will take
Pm me your email addy for Lockerz invite have 9 left redemption coming soon
Alrighty, thanks to a rare moment of forward-thinking, I pinned the receipt to my cork board, which is dated for 2009/07/30, at 11:08:05am, which corresponds to a PM I sent the buyer earlier. Thanks for the responses guys, I guess the worse thing that can happen is I get no feedback points at all, correct? If the buyer leaves a negative saying he didn't receive the game, but I have proof I sent the game, will the negative be reversed as well as gain positive points, or will the negative be reversed and that's all?

No, you'll still get your positive feedback if the trade window closes without them leaving manual feedback.
No, you can't just not get feedback points. You'll either go up or down, but in this case, it appears you're covered and should be on the road to a positive result.

If the buyer doesn't leave feedback you'll get +10 when the system closes the trade after 15 days.

If he does leave negative feedback make sure you dispute it. Prove you've sent the game. The Goozex Guarantee will protect you. Once it gets reversed you'll get your points and +10 feedback.
Awesome, thank you very much cheeznrice! I'm starting to love Goozex more and more! :D
I Live in Canada and no matter what the game is worth I always get a confirmation number. I sent out a game once that was worth 250 points and i still paid the 15 bucks just to express it and have a confirm number. its not worth losing a game to me.
@coozm: At those prices you might as well save up and just buy a game.
Also, goozex does accept detailed reciepts as proof that a game was sent.
Hell, I took my DSi in and took a picture of the last game I sent out with the reciept for the game.
Should be enough to cover any negative feedback attempts.
weird i was told by my post office that i delivery confirmation was not an option when sending to canada
the postmaster said it would stop tracking after it was recieved by customs
