Event 4 - The Conduit
This event will take place on Tuesday, 22 September 2009, starting at 9 PM EST.
Event will be run as follows:
*Since the scoring/winning criteria are different per game type, the standings will be determined by adding up each player's game standings. The player with the lower standing total wins. In the event of a tie, the player with fewer deaths in Game 1 will win.

Please show up either in skype, the goozex forums or the goozex chat during the event. If you don't have access to any of the above near your Wii, let me know. If all the games go to their time limit, that will be 57 minutes, so please show up on time.
Please confirm your attendance and add everyone's FCs beforehand.

i got horrible news my wii broke so i might not make it to the conduit event so im gonna buy a lens cleaning kit tomrrow and if that dosent work im just sell the wii broken to game stop and save up and get a xbox360. Wow i havent to gamestop in a long time. the problem with my wii is that it says error eject disc and turn off power for assistance look in the manuel. so ya any suggestions.

Oh that sucks... With The Conduit coming up next, I was expecting you to win both Scoring and Bonus rounds and jump into 2nd or 3rd place.
Hopefully the the lens cleaner will fix the problem. I also read that you could try unplugging it AC adapter for 5 mins and replugging it in. Not sure what that would do, but it may be worth a shot.
Ehhh, he will probably still beat me at The Conduit, even with a broken Wii.
I guess I should go practice this beforehand, since I have no idea what you're talking about with the scoring round.
My wii problem has been fixed i used the cleaning kit and it worked so now im in for the conduit and neebles you give me to much credit i had a busted wii for a week and i been mostly playing codw@w i need to get some practice in. I got a feeling im gonna lose :(

Gerardo838 - Glad your Wii is working again, I'm sure after a few minutes you'll be back to your killing self. I guess the cleaning kit really works! Hey, it's one of the prizes I'm offering.
Neebles - You should have stayed up an extra 20 mins on Friday
Kameleon - Practice might be a good idea If you have any questions on how the scoring round works, feel free to ask. Basically, I'll create a lobby and everyone will join. Eveyone then votes on the game type, weapon set type and map. In the post, I specified the type of game that eveyone must vote for. In some cases, I also specified the map size. If you don't want to worry about it, just pick "no vote".
For those who aren't sure how the game types work for the tournament, here's a quick breakdown. There are other factors like respawn time, but essentially here is how the games work:
Quick Match - Basic free for all. 10 minute time limit and the most kills wins.
Three Strikes - Everyone has 3 lives only, if you lose them, you no longer respawn and just spectate for the rest of the game. 5 minute time limit and the most kills wins, but you need to have lives left.
Last Man Standing - Essentially the same as Three Strikes, but 10 lives each.
Bounty Hunter - You will be assigned a specific target to kill. The target will be marked in white on your radar and there will be a white "box" around them. You get points for killing your target and lose points for killing an "innocent". If you kill your hunter, you don't lose points. Your target changes everytime he is killed or you are killed. 10 minute time limit. Winner is chosen based on points, not amount of kills.
ASE Football - Object of the game is to pick up the ASE (floating ball marked by white indicator) and hold it for as long as possible. When you have the ASE, you can't shoot, only punch and throw grenades. You get 1 points per second you hold the ASE. Game ends after someone scores 99 points or 10 minutes is up. Winner is choosen based on points.
Please pick as per what I indicated for the game type and map, or just choose "no vote". Note, I have a wii speak, so those not on skype or in the chat will be able to hear what I am saying.
I think I get it a bit better now.
Still, practice is probably better too.

Great games guys, I had loads of fun.
Congrats to Duddy07 for winning the scoring round. We were actually tied, but you won the tie breaker with less deaths during Game 1. I-Weapon-X was right in the mix as well, too bad you had a hard time with Game 2 or you could have won the event.
This event really shook the standings up, with Duddy07 pulling into 2nd place overall! Neebles and Somewan are tied for 3rd, and I-Weapon-X and Nooshu are tied for 5th. It's going to get interesting now that we are moving into the team events. Lots of points to be had!
Also, is anyone actually interested in the videos of the games tonight? If you want, I'll upload them again, but I'm not going to bother if nobody wants them.
Had loads of fun, even with the "Kill the target" game once I figured out how to play XD.
Frustratingly fun deaths tonight guys. I would normally want to see your vids, but I died so much and got to watch your perspective while respawning; so I think I'm good.
The individual rounds were really fun for your tournament, and the team events look like they could shake things up next month. Looking forward to moving up on the backs of others!
