I saw that last night and got a good laugh out of it.

The above WOULD have been an application for a horse-riding peripheral that Nintendo DID patent.  And I thought the vitality sensor was a reach...

EDIT: That may be the oldest looking child ever in the picture - complete with receding hairline

ROFL....It wasn't until I visited the Kotaku link that my question "Where the hell did the Wiimote go in that picture...?!" had a solid answer in my head.

Let me tell you...it was a long few seconds waiting for that browser to load...but the spinoffs of games to use that attachment/controller would be endless!

EDIT:  ...lol, it appears I'd be right at home with some of the comments on Kotaku.

Just pre-ordered 18 copies. One for me, and the rest I will flip on Goozex - because I know it will be a blockbuster hit.

maybe you'd be more interested in riding some of the examples Nintendo themselves provide in the actual patent, like bulls, burros, dolphins, whales, dragons, griffons, unicorns and giant eagles. Griffons? Awesome.

Can't beat riding a griffon! lol.

Obviously this is something aimed at Kids if it were to ever turn into anything more than a Patent.

Every console has games that are aimed towards kids...the 360 has over 200 of them
