So by empty cases I mean no insert, manual, nothing. I'm not looking for anything game specific, just console specific. Empty translucent green x360 cases, white wii game cases, stupid short PS3 cases that break up the nice flow I have going in my storage... I've had a couple things crack in transit and whatnot and would love to replace 'em, but everything just keeps coming up as game-specific replacements. Any suggestions?

Don't know if your local gamestop would be nice like mine, but I needed one or two wii cases, and asked them "where can I get them?", they gave me a big pile.

I have found the cases on ebay but make sure to read the description...thought I was buying a 10 pack of assorted cases and it was a 10 pack of the same kind.

Also... I never knew GameStop would give a customer something for free... did they run out of KY?

Strangely enough.....I've gotten three free wii cases, a free DS case, an exchange of artwork for a cleaner copy, and right now a guy at a store is getting a copy of MGS3S mailed from another store so he can give me Disc 2 for FREE, because it's not necessary for him to sell it used, that's all I am looking for (got Disc 1 alone), and there's no SKU to sell it....so he's said he's getting it shipped and will just hand it to me.

So, yeah. They still exist. :)

Toys R Us, one with an "R Zone" where they have empty clamshells.  Whenever prices drop on games, the clamshells are left sitting around til someone grabs them or thows them out.

But really any store that has empty cases on the sales floor should have left overs to get rid of.

wow thats really a good idea.  I never thought to ask gamestop... but i dont think i would have much luck at mine, it seems like every employees there are jerks.  The gamecrazy nearby seems much nicer though.  has anyone else noticed this?

That random people from two different places might act differently? Yes, I have noticed this.Hmm

No just how it seems that employees from different stores act differently.  For instance, i have been to 3 different gamestops in the past few months, and 2 game crazy stores and the employees at game crazy just seemed more friendly at both.

Hmm...that's interesting. I was wondering where I could get some cases too.  However, usually I only need one or two. I find that Blockbuster sometimes has extra cases on hand for games that went missing, sold, destroyed...etc.  I used to work at one and we had quite a few empty cases on the side. It couldn't hurt to ask a friendly employee at Blockbuster.

Hrm, never thought to just ask for free ones at Gamestop. I've gone during the B2G1 deals or whatever and bought 3 of the cheapest games they had (~$2/each). So 3 cases and 3 (highly queued) Disc/Manual trades made available for $4+tax.

If a game I'm going to offer has any disc only requests, I like to offer disc only and then I have a spare case :D. If a game I request has a case that's in not such good condition, I just borrow some games from the library and swap the cases. The ones at the library are usually in bad condition too, but whenever they get new games, I try to be the first to borrow them so I can swap cases. And I've seen Blockbuster selling cases for liek $1 each.
