Would anyone say that one is better than the other, and if so, which one?
Or is this a you-should-own-them-both type of situation?
Having owned both at one time, I would say that without a doubt in my mind COD is a better game. Better graphics, better singleplayer storyline, and what I consider a better online experience mostly due to the upgrades and unlockable content. The Conduit suffered from unimaginative single player gameplay and a pretty barebones multiplayer. It felt like HVS had created a nice foundation in The Conduit for their future games with the engine, but it needed lots more polish that COD already has.
I was wondering myself as I only own the Conduit right now (which i adore)....Sound like COD is one to pick up as well? As i havent played it yet, am I too late in the game, and stand NO chance online?
I own both of them and think it is a "must own both" situation. Yes they are both FPS, but I find they both offer different things for me at least.
I like the fact that The Conduit evens things up online. Yes the perks and weapons' upgrades are cool in COD, but it makes it unfair for those starting out. I also find the online team maker sucks in COD, often putting the "best" players based on their score and level on the same team.
Hard to say which one I think is better, since I enjoy killng Somewan equally in both games

You'll probably get fustrated at first, but stick with it. Once you gain enough levels, you'll start unlocking the cool stuff.
Word is Modern Warfare is coming to the Wii this november. Although it is the first one, not MW2, it should still be awesome.
CoD is WAAAY better. I am starting to enjoy The Conduit with fellow Goozers, but still believe CoD is a far superior game all around.
I just wish there were more types of online multiplayer game types on CoD as with the 360 and PS3.

Not sure, the most I've ever had to wait was about 5 minutes...

COD5 is better Single player.
and while i don`t get to play online very much, what i`ve played online of the conduit so far was amazing.
i played COD5 online for maybe a month or 2 only before getting tired of it.
i`ve played The Conduit online since it came out and am still very much enjoying it.
They`re both Great games though and both worth getting if you can.
So if you`re looking to play online alot i`d say go with Conduit, but if it`s for Single Player then COD5

Playing Free for All or Team Reaper, I haven't had to wait long, but have you tried Team Objective. I've tried multiple times, and have yet to actually play it besides with you guys. I've waited up to 10 minutes (it's a reddish cloudy picture, with a gun, but not real spectating). I waited for the match to end, it said returning to lobby, then just freezes! Very frustrating, and that's my favorite game types to play. It's happened multiple times.

I played 2 matches tonight with no wait. However, I have experienced what you have, and had to reset. But it has only happened twice....
