i have bought some dvds on black friday that had no chapter insert inside like for example Hitch and 300 and Gangs of New York
Amirr: Brenex:that's a good question. Do all dvds even come with something inside? All DVD's/Bly-Rays comes with atleast the Chapter insert. but I hope that won`t be required as part of being a "Full Package" cause most Used movies don`t include them.

Completely untrue. I have boguht plenty of brand new dvds and some Blu-Rays with ZERO insert(s)
The amount of duplicate titles is crazy. Goozex needs to implement UPC codes the way Half.com does. There are 21 listings for Grandma's Boy. I don't know if mine is "sensormatic" or not...
Search is a mess. If you search for LOST, you won't find it. UPC code search is available but it's a pain to have to go looking for every UPC. Also, I'd prefer to be able to split my games and movies in requests/haves. Having them in the same spot is annoying.
Quick notes:
There's no "Long Way Round Deluxe" Edition available and Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog is listed as a future release. It was released in 2008 on DVD only.
Kerig, if you click under "Quick Add," there is a UPC search. It's in the left hand column and you'll select either "Request Movies" or "Offer Movies."

I Just looked at my Copy of Hitch and it has a Chapter insert as well as 2 other Inserts (Promos)
I buy a lot of DVD's and a good amount of Blu-rays and i`ve never seen a new one without a chapter inserts.
Used DVD's on the other hand almost never have them.
I don`t know it has to do with the edition, I usually go for the special edition if i`m buying new and they always have the insert.

I'm not sure how Half.com does it, but you can search by UPC code on Goozex.

Well I am looking at my bought-new copy of Gangs of New York without an insert too so take that for what's it's worth.
Thanks hooray, I never would have thought Goozex had that info since it doesn't show up anywhere in the product page. As for the search function: Watchmen doesn't even exist, other than Black Freighter and Motion Comic...
I'm starting to agree really quickly about splitting movies/games.
DVD inserts are 95% of the time meaningless or just adverts anyway. Hopefully after beta the "condition" will be updated.
Full package for a DVD = discs, case and extras
Inserts are silly and almost always discarded as trash.
Wow, search is sllllooooowwwww right now. 8P
On the subject of inserts... the plain fact is that I've bought plenty of brand new, still in the plastic DVDs from the store that had no inserts at all and plenty that had only advertisement inserts (which I promptly threw away). It bothers me that some movies don't have them since I like having something in the case since there's a spot for it, but it's just not true that every movie has them.

You must be buying all the right ones then, I buy tons of dvds new and sealed every year, and there are plenty of them that come without inserts. Alot of the new ones don't have them anymore I'm guessing to save money.
I've bought plenty of newer DVDs with absolutely no inserts, but I'm fairly sure it depends on where you buy them. Most of the DVDs without inserts that I've bought come from Costco or Target, so take from that what you will.
I'm still not sure how the dvd trading is going to go, seeing as there are *so* many editions and variations on each title.
A couple things:
- Search is extremly slow (in fact the whole site is right now) and doesn't actually go to a result page.- Looks like games and movies are going to be mixed with your game request and offers...please change that and make it a seperate entity of each other
To the people who talk about inserts as a full pkg, thats a dangerous line to cross as more than 60% of catalogue titles no longer have them. Even some newer titles don't, Blu-ray's are no exceptions.
I think the definitions of full package needs to be clear for this one or else theres going to be a lot of frustrated traders on both end of the transactions. However, people have to remember that they are trading used and not new here...an insert is not a manual and is rarely used by anyone unless a collectors edition pop with some pre-production info in it. It's one of the reasons studios don't always use the insert. People never cared for a chapter listing index on paper.
