Kenny007: I sincerely hope that blu ray discs do not hit 1000 points on release... Would be an easy flip in most cases though, assuming others are willing to pay that much.

Yeah I'd probably only pay between 550-600 max on new release Blus.
Heck I probably wouldn't pay 1000 for boxsets, although there are a few exceptions.
Totally Agree.
zannabianca: A quick update: We will launch the new Movies section within next week. We have already implemented some ideas we have seen around from our members, and jotted down others for future extensions. As of now the feature list is finalized as we complete the internal testing before BETA availability. We expect to run it as a BETA service for the first 8-12 weeks, enough to give everybody time to test it out and report to us any changes/improvements (and for us to fix any error that may be there at launch ). We have spent months in designing the new system and its features, yet the first release of the Movies system may not be perfect and there may be room for user-suggested extensions and improvements. As always, we will welcome your suggestions and ideas, especially when they are targeted at making Goozex a better service for everyone. We are here, and we listen. Happy trading!

Since it'll be in "BETA," does that mean we won't be charged tokens during this time?

You can send me as many titles as you like and I won't charge you a thing,

Pretty sure Goozex won't charge me anything for sending to other users either. I'm wondering what they're charing those who receive.
so that means it will come out between the 10 to the 17th... was hoping this week.. about prices.. box sets would have to top 1000 or more.... The shipping on box sets could be killer... I just shipped one 5 disc set that cost almost 6 bucks with deliver confirm on it.... now compair that to 3 bucks for a video game
I'm starting to lean more toward kenny's POV on this one.
I'm really starting to wonder what the demand for my old DVDs will be. If I somehow had a stockpile of anime boxsets, I'm sure those would fly off the shelves, but not so much the DVDs I've collected over the years...
I will do a lot of business in getting kid's movies, as this seems like the perfect place to pick em up cheap.
Mafafu's first movie dispute.
Neutral/ Requested Full Package, received disc only. "Movie plays great, but seller did not include limited edition Pinochio collector's cup!"
or, the perhaps the more likely
Negative/ Wrong movie received "I didn't want the disney cartoon, I wanted the Live action Jonathon Taylor Thomas Pinochio movie!!! High Def JTT, NAO!!!!!"

Yeah I had the same feeling as well. There will be a crapload of Anime stuff more than likely and the stuff that I'm interested in might be hard to come by.

I don't really think there will be that much Anime compared to mainstream videos. There are still a LOT of older gamers here (in this regard, 21+) who couldn't care less about owning Anime in the first place.
We don't exactly see tons of Japanese-flavored games flowing through Goozex so far. There aren't many RPG's even that trade as much as the mainstream games.

I agree. I remember reading a statistic about how the average gamer is in their 30s. Going by that logic, bad 80s movies are going to be topping the most traded page...
Why am I suddenly disturbed?
I think just like the RPGs and the Japanese stuff, requests will be more than the offers on the Anime boxsets, since the few people that would want them will more than likely not trade out too much more of what they already have. It's really going to be a small niche that will be trading these around, since most people are likely to go for either boxsets that are seasons of shows from the US, or simply mainstream DVDs and Blu-rays (starting to think Blu-rays might be in short supply at first also).
As far as not officially announcing when the Movie trading will go live (other than by next week), this isn't going to be another "Surprise Butsecks" moment like it was for the last two Exchanges, will it?

One can only hope....

Well, you know how crazy it gets at 1am on Tuesday mornings? That's only for a few games getting released that week. Imagine what it'll be like for every Bluray/DVD/HDDVD in the database.
