I like the big mac example, though it depends on how important the "lettuce" is to you, and it would have to be a hamburger that you planned to consume and then pass on to the next person, where a lettuced Big Mac is less valuable than the non lettuced kind to be fully appropriate.

As the options stand now, I fully support negative feedback option.  It's a little harsh on accidental mislisters, but I say err on the side of preventing deliberate misuse, the merely careless will quickly become much more careful in the future.

Having said this I received a movie recently, (I just joined myself 1-2 months ago) not my first trade, that was missing the insert and was generally in poor condition though it played.  It is for my nephew, I have no intention of retrading it.  Long story shortm I gave a neutral, because that's what the options and FAQ said was my recourse, and I feel ORANGE is just as helpful as RED in the feedback page, but what use is this knowledge (left full description of misdeeds in comments) if I  Am not allowed to not accept the trade match as a Buyer?  I could clearly see the poor trader coming and just have to take the hit?  that's BS.  As seller, I can peruse the match for 25 1/2 hrs, checking feedback, cancel history, location, whatever before making my decision, but as buyer, nada?  que?

Being able to act upon a seller's feedback would likely slow the system down, as well as open up that slippery slope of allowing the buyer to protect themselves, but also the potential for users to blacklist groups that shouldn't be acted against (read: new users).  Still, something would be nice to protect against shoddy users.

Perhaps being able to set a value (as a buyer) that states 'If seller's Neutral/Negative percentage is greater than 25%/50%/75%/etc, then skip me as a potential match" would help.  This would lend a little bit of weight to the otherwise fruitless neutral/negative feedback option, while also avoiding the potential abuse from some overcautious members by 'blacklisting' new members, who ideally wouldn't have a large (if any) negative feedback percentage.  In addition, the use of such an option would be at the loss of the enacter, as he would be skipped by this 'negative' user in favor or the next active buyer, a small price to pay for peace of mind I suppose, but those that don't want to use the option may push ahead a little bit in the queue at a little bit higher of a risk.

Granted, I have no idea what that would entail coding wise; surely something not easy, but it could potentially slowly bring the quality of trades up from usually stellar to almost always stellar.

Ideally, but mistakes can be made. A new user who happens to have a bad trade their first time in (doesn't get Delivery Confirmation and a game gets lost, game doesn't work, wrong packaging option selected, any number of a things that could happen to a brand new user), will instantly start out with a 100% negative. It would take them three more trades to get up to 25% positive, all the while being skipped by, probably, just about everyone. Who would honestly want to trade with someone that can't even get half of their trades done correctly?

Hello,

I am new to Gozzex. I just sent my first 3 offers out to people. As a new trader, if I were to get DO and expected FP, I would NEG them instantly. I am on Goozex to save money and not loose money. Furthermore, If I did not get my value back for the mis-leading trade, I would use up my remaining points and debate on using this service again. To me, if Goozex is protecting me, they will rebate my points in this case (or at least a 50%+ of them.) If fact, are you telling me I CAN'T NEG someone for this behavior and therefor not get my points rebated?

Just my 2 cents. Like I said, I am new here and I haven't gone through the 6 pages so far so I might not be up on the conversation. I am looking forward to many great positive trades in the future from this promising site.

And then the feedback would be disputed and eventually changed to a neutral. Unless goozex changes the rules, receiving the wrong game condition is a neutral feedback, not negative. Negative is generally only acceptable if you don't get a game or get the wrong game altogether.

Welcome to goozex, though. My first trade was UC1 way back in the day...Its nice to see somebody trading out new releases quickly.

Did anyone here happen to get a response from Goozex to explain the policy and why it is the way it is? Just curious, thanks.

Next time I request a Disc only and get full package, I'm totally going negative on that seller's ass!

sadly it will get overturned. There is no recourse for sending the wrong packaging.  None at all....its kind of whack

There is hope, as not all of them will get overturned.  A certain locked thread the other day had a user complaining that he got 'stiffed' by a negative of just that sort.  More power to the buyer in that case.

Let me say that if mods see evidence of falsifying feedback, we will report it to the G-team.

Unfortunately no.  The email went unanswered.  As it stands, the loophole remains.

He said falsifying.   You're clear in that case.
