When can you get listed for new games?

So let's say a game is coming out August 1st, when would goozex open the lines for requesting it?

1am Eastern Standard Time on the day of the release, so 1am on August 1st.

he is correct. There will be people fighting for it and you probably wont end up the first in line but it will usually put you in an excellent position to receive it early on and be able to send it back out at 1000 points still. Unless its an immensely popular game like Resident Evil 5 night - that was a rough one-so many tried to get first on that title some ended up getting in the 100's but that doesnt happen too often.

isn't there a trick to getting first? the closest i have EVER gotten is 14th (on a popular game, mind you) and i would like to know if anyone is in the mood to divulge. a pm would do fine, thank you.

Reload reload reload reload reload... Generally I only end up 1st on things nobody gives a damn about (The munchables!) or are inaccurate release dates (the moomin DS game!)

I really want to know how to get close to first in line.

I got in 24th place for both Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2, and I'm pissed about being 24th for MW2. I requested it as soon as I could, but it took forever (like 5-10 minutes) for it to get into my requests list, and that's where I think I lost.

24th for both of those titles is a very good spot in line.  Keep in mind out of those 23 people ahead of you some probably have restrictions on their account and some will possibly place on hold.  Some may also end up buying them and remove themselves completely from the queue.
